Re: New Level - McChomp's Money Bin

Significantly harder than it looks. After too many tries kept choking near the exit, I finally decided to go for a more spiral-like route and, a few tries later, got it done.

An interesting level, and yes, I can see the Chip's Challenge resemblance...

Not so difficult, but a clever use of RTW's water/"water" distinction. A fun level, thanks!

Re: Playing your RtW custom levels on livestreams!

Ooooof, I didn't test my levels so thoroughly back then, did I? It's a small detail, but I never realized there's enough time to get past the cyan gate by just walking on the timer. I wanted the boulder to be pushed down, left, and up, then it'd hit the timer and bounce back on the conveyor button.....

... now I'm confused again. Are you referring to "Well Bowl Me Down"? That trick isn't possible in this level. Or are you referring to one of the "Deception" levels?

I meant in general, not in this specific level. ;)

Solved the cannon bit already, nicely done, but still need to figure out the white timer bit.

Re: New Level - Bankrupt

Looked at the level again, and never mind, this should be possible even without the boulder. I did notice your "thingy" there, but thought I'd have to go down to access a certain room and then the thingy would not be enough. Well, if I swap myself and [REDACTED], I don't have to, so that's a way aro...

Re: New Level (Adv) Leap Year

I just finished the first version (neat little sequence of hidden surprises, kept thinking I'd come up short, but a little angel leapt to my rescue), and now there's more than one version? And the forum doesn't let you keep the "canon" version only? Well, well, those who exploit glitches should be p...

Re: New Level - Bankrupt

"Fools rush in..." I disregarded your timer warning at first -- big mistake! Anyway... is the boulder meant to be basically unreachable? There seems to be no way of getting it out there because the clock covers the ice and I could've very much used it to hold a certain little critter in a cert...

Re: New computer (Win 10, Nvidia GPU), RTW problems

Happy update: Somehow, after playing the game again a bit, I realized it now loads all levels normally, including chomper ones... even though I didn't do anything! Well, hey, I'll take it... I guess some driver got auto-updated and that somehow fixed something. Let's hope later auto-updates won't br...

Re: Playing your RtW custom levels on livestreams!

If you want to push the box step-by-step, you pop back and forth between teleporters to stay safe. If you want to push the box the whole way through in one go, the timing is the same as in "Let's Go for a Walk" (W10L8) of the first game. It's kind of a stutter step thing. https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: New computer (Win 10, Nvidia GPU), RTW problems

Funnily enough, WA and MOFI seem to work fine for me, although I haven't tested for uber-specific crashes... POTZ lags like hell now, but there was a fix for that, so that should work, too.

Re: New computer (Win 10, Nvidia GPU), RTW problems

I'll still have access to my previous PC, so if I really have to make or play a chomper level, I can do it there, but yeah, something like that did happen to someone, now that you mention it... Sucks if there's no solution, but oh well, I still have "emergency access" to my previous PC if really, re...

New computer (Win 10, Nvidia GPU), RTW problems

Still sometimes playing the game... I recently upgraded my computer, but there seems to be a strange RTW problem -- the game crashes any time I enter a level with a chomper. Everything else seems to work just fine (though the system had to install DirectPlay the first time), which is a bit strange. ...

Re: New Level (Advanced) -- Spooky Scary Stinker!

 I really tried to make the level as clean-looking as possible to make the layout look simple and the red herring believable. Judging by your reaction, it seems to have worked quite nicely. I did have to make ONE concession to reality (the 3-step bridge, which is needed for all real solutions ...

Re: New Level (Advanced) -- Spooky Scary Stinker!

RE the spikes: I originally had a different layout where the first spike (and the coin) was supposed to be a puzzle element you had to be careful with... it didn't really work. At all. Like I said before, the design process for the layout (not the plan, which I knew from the start, just the layout) ...

Re: New Level (Advanced) -- Spooky Scary Stinker!

A nice hint, Amnon, but one that might also reinforce some wrong assumptions, so I'll write an additional one... Certain objects might have more than one purpose. Just because a boulder or a sphere eventually lands into a certain spot... doesn't mean it's the only thing it has to do. So when Amnon s...

Re: New Level - Emerald Lake

It's been a long time, but IIRC, it's mostly a visual bug. The tile is still walkable. If the cannon is near the keg, the cannon will also "explode", but still remain a walkable tile.

Still a neat glitch.

Re: Scary and most startling Wonderland moments

Yes, there's a bit of a jumpscare aspect to a sudden death in the original trilogy. One for each in the WA trilogy: 1) I was a bit taken aback in the original WA after exiting the Pyramid when The Void has already taken over and the shards don't work. 2) In MOFI, meeting Shiver was a lovely moment, ...

Looking at the beta thread, seems like no one has asked this question so there's no "official" answer in the beta topic.

I, too, think they wanted to keep the "one of each charger" theme.

WSW's "Lost Cave" -- all keys grabbed without blocking UFO fire

I always knew this was possible, but the timing for getting away with this is very evil, so it always seemed infeasible until I realized which part of the shooting sound I needed to use as my cue. Some attempts later... success! The first key can be grabbed for free at the start just by being quick,...

In a similar vein, there's a trick route I discovered a long time ago in Secret Worlds on "Kaboom! Cave": http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27709 In that same level, you can also make all of the Kaboom!s explode in the first room if you make the exact right moves. EDIT: Oh wait, you ...

Yes -- at some point I decided that I want to split my fair stuff and my unfair stuff on account level for easier sorting. That way, when you download a Muzozavr level, you know it's 100% fair play, and when you download a Shadow level, you know it's... well, the opposite.

RTWD W4L4 without rainbow coins

The attached image mostly speaks for itself. The UFO closest to the powder keg storage is killed by standing in a certain spot. Then, the barrels are set up. One extra barrel is placed near the first box to blow up the way inside, then the box on the outside is used to redirect a UFO into it. Obviou...

Eeeeh, how do I give a hint that reveals what the level actually wants from you is much harder than what it seems like it wants from you if you're already struggling with the surface level? First of all, just in case, I'll mention that the very top button (the blue one) has a box for it. So you don'...
