Yep Loirae, we're just having fun here waiting for the next tidbits from Patrick... Cutscenes 2 Would be good if they were available for a number of different situations - starting of a level - ending of a level - entering/exiting areas - picking up special items/opening chest (if available) -...

That sounds great :D . Just glad it's you & not me  This thought may be in the realm of fantasy but I thought it might be worth posting.... Transportation 2 What if in lieu of other transport on a level (something I mentioned on page 1 - and I think others have mentioned it as well - rafts & t...

New Areas 03 This is probably stating the obvious Pat (& if it wasn't we'll be none the wiser  ) but in catering for the New Areas idea should it go ahead there would really need to be the ability to specify where in the level you end up & allow for multiple entrances/exits within an area - i...

New Areas Visual Just a GIF for the entering new areas thing. It's a bit crude but the idea is there. One thing I forgot to add was a name for the area appearing briefly at the bottom then fading just after you enter/re-enter an area much in the same way that a level name does currently. Robbie :D

More on Bombs Just another doodle – bomb image. I had in mind a bit of variation in the bomb appearances depending on the strength of each bomb. * * * * * * Big Bomb – obviously oversized, big eyebrows in a frown with arms folded (I was thinking of some of those rather unfriendly blocks from the Ma...

Sound Suggestions 2 On page one I mentioned about being able to set music & sound effects on a tile by tile basis. Just thinking about that would give you a headache. Probably a better suggestion would be to allow custom music for an area as a whole - remembering the point made about being able to ...

Program Recommendations Hi Pat, I know it might be a little early in development & these may or may not be on the cards but just out of curiosity are there any programs you’d recommend (cheap  ) for animated textures & animated models? I did come across www.blender3d.org which is free/open so...

Destructible Walls 2 & Power Boots Maybe similar to destructible floor tile you could have wall pieces that take a couple of hits to be destroyed… In addition to the notes I made on page 2 regarding the boots – particularly the David Beckham specials… Dave might not like you using his name  –...

Destructible Walls Going along with the bomb theme, you could have wall sections that could be destroyed by bombs to reveal either items or secret passage ways - maybe allow for a variation in texture to indicate that there's something different about the wall. From a level creator perspective you ...

I agree 100% that there's plenty of levels that are pretty tough - some I just look at & think  But at the same time I think that level complexity falls back on the level creators, not necessarily the program itself - a point proved by the fact that there are so many enjoyable & playable leve...

... Life Meter If the game takes on board some of the suggestions listed & in particular multiple areas within a level, would it make sense to incorporate some sort of life meter system? For regular size Wonderland type levels the one zap & it's game over scenario doesn't present too much of a probl...

Pauline wrote As for monsters/combat, I'm not too sure about the idea of having to fight things, especially if it takes quick movements. Patrick said something about this game being played with a mouse rather than the keys, but most fighting games are played with a joypad and my joints just wouldn't...

Haven't got the times on hand but one way you could do it would be to set up a new level say 6 wide by 100 long & set up a long conveyor belt, strip of ice, your cannon, ufo, stinky - probably not all at the same time (or alternatively make it wider & put up a wall between each experiment). Just tim...

Not in the ideal sense Mette. It would be possible to give an appearance of 2 levels by having 2 separate models (depending on what it is - house, boat etc) & teleporters linking the two. ie the ground floor on the lower level would be on the y=0 plain, on the upper floor the model would be shifted ...

Just tried to make the Look Before you Leap level a 3D one Pat but movement is still limited to movement along the floor  Would have been a bit of fun to go trampolining in 3D... next time

OK, that's it. I'm out of here.

Hi Janet,

Sorry I haven't replied lately. Your modelling work is awesome!
Are you building all these from scratch? AC3D or another proggy?
Keep it up, still have to check out all the other postings you've done.

Most of the bridal party and guest at a wedding reception I attended were from musical societies, so it was fitting that the groom sang a romantic song to his bride, accompanying himself on the guitar. Handkerchiefs dabbed at moist eyes as many guests succumbed to the emotion of it all. Then, as the...
