I think if if Indigo magic would be much better if it makes monsters or other things appear because
As to Indigo: My original idea for it (as well as large parts of the POTZ plot) was actually quite similar to what yot yot mentions. Stinkers would even revisit the same level at different points in time, and interact with past and future versions of themselves. Is this idea still part of POTZ at this time? Well... TIME will tell, won't it
will cause a huge memory leak ( or a huge hard disk file ) if the game is left open for a long time.

The amount of time you could "record" a past-you would probably be limited so that won't happen.

Bump. It's been a while, but I thought of something else that'd be kinda cool in WA3.

In MoFI and WA1, one thing that kinda offset me in retrospect was how the player character's name is never mentioned, by other characters or the player themselves. Most other games that have this are ones that have voice acting with nameless protagonists.

Here's an idea. How about having a name entry screen of some sort? For instance, after you put in your profile name, if you've made a custom character, then you get the Name Entry screen. You could have a certain number of spaces (7 or 8, for example) for your character's name.

In dialogs, a certain prompt of some sort (say, 7/8 "%" symbols in a row or something) would make NPCs say your Character's name instead.

This isn't necessary at all, honestly, but personally I think something like that would add to the immersion of the game. Just a thought.

Extending that concept, we can have user-defined variables. They would be in this format: {var} (PHP) or %var% (Batch). There can also be global variables and level-only variables.

Maybe we should just implement scripting.

According to a really cool dream I had with WA3 a while ago, the player's name is DETETE, and only the player knows that.

And then the story uses an Earthbound-like plot/puzzle device to make the grand finale emotionally EPIC?

That's EPIC WIN.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.

This is not undoable, but implementing a proper per-level variable storage system might be more effective in the long run.

*bump*

Indigo magic is deep water magic and future magic, according to Loopy.

(And I don't think Loopy's really crazy; she's just pretending for some reason.)

This means we might get something like a more complicated Floing with indigo bubbles, giving it the name 'Flash!' or it could turn floor to water, and be called 'Splash!'

What I care more about is having Bounce, Moove, and that laser magic shot by a UFO on the 1st page of the PotZ update topic available in glovecharge AND shot by fireflowers.

It should be-

White=Moove
Rainbow=Laser Magic (e.g. Blast! for nickname)
Black colour 9 or 16=Bounce

Bounce should be fixed so you can aim on objects like you can aim with Pow on objects in MoFI.

Two epic ideas for Moove:

One: PUSHING It pishes things one square in the direction it's moving when the object's hit, allowing you to keep a chomper at bay or move a barrel by pushing.

Two: PULLING The spellball creates a white spiderweb shape with the texture of a Floing bubble or Growflower once it hits a movable object.

That object can be moved completely under the player's control-by clicking the mouse on the net and then moving the cursor or walking around. You can have more than one web, but only one can be guided by the mouse at a time.

The nets dissipate the same way Growflowers and Floing bubbles do.
One can also break if it is pulled too much against a wall or ice wall or an object it's not grabbing.

A net acts like an ice wall to spellballs while active. It can only trap one solid thing at a time, though.

Both ideas require you to aim in the direction you want the magic to function on.

Cool, right? 8)

Also, GCs for other levels is a big YES.

YES!

A million times this. I've been needing it for MOPI for awhile, but I have found alternatives. However, if the updated editor will include a Hub System, it shouldn't be a problem. :D

Hey Wonderman, your Ideas are epic!! :D

The laser, can be ultrafast pow (you get it??) so it won't be good as a magic.

A list of my magic wonders an be found on the 54th page of WA3 update thread.

The laser would be good for quickly killing fireflowers with hundreds og hitpoints. It could smash many chompers at once, ut its powers would run out very quickly. As in, within two seconds. :( :D

Seems overpowered and somewhat pointless.
Ice mirrors would be interesting, and you could set their angles and have them rotate or something, like an advanced ice wall.

You know, you don't need to list the ones that THE EDITOR ALREADY HAS to be added in, because MS has no reason to remove them. Just saying.
