Seriously, do you really expect that you can create an operating system/game console for him?
Keep in mind that MS is an independent company and he has us, the community, to help him. Since he started as an indie developer for his Wonderland series, it should remain the same.Caton wrote:ms should have jobs so it would not be a lot of work for him.
Boot.ini
This should boot the computer.
then it should start the os system.
Code: Select all
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\OSDATA
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\MAINDATA=" Midnight Synergy OS" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
then it should start the os system.

and make the system folders and files and config files and data.
and that error can't happen it would have to read the text error and data for this error to happen
It would just be a blank screen.
and SPCMDCON.SYS is a system file
that is in the system folder witch is not in the os system
only the boot.ini file

You're wasting your time. The amount of effort that goes into creating a game console is far, far more than what goes into just making a video game, which is already a lot. I'm pretty sure Midnight Synergy is more or less a one-man operation, too - I doubt that things will change that much in the foreseeable future.
Perhaps it would be wise to stop and actually think before saying "I could make one for him".
Now even if you were able to create this operating system, what are its uses? An OS which runs on a computer is out of the question; a game is sufficient.
What would be the point of an MS game console system? Who would buy it? Would the income generated from the sales of the game console actually exceed the money spent on making it?
Now, maybe it would be more feasible to convert the game for other consoles, such as 3ds or X-Box, but then again, you face the problem of lack of demand.

There is a fine line between innovation and delusion. Of course we won't stop Caton from doing whatever project he wants; we're simply giving a realistic perspective here.Koopson44 wrote:Who knows? We could be talking to the next bill gates here.
I was sort of joking. But, i don't wanna insult him. Don't wanna be listed in his autobiography as "guy who insulted me".samuelthx wrote:Perhaps it would be wise to stop and actually think before saying "I could make one for him".

Don't come in contact with contaminants.
OH GOD you've got to be kidding me. If you seriously want to make a Blitz3D compiler, you have NO idea what amount of trouble you're getting yourself into. You may know Blitz3D better than 99% of us on the forum (if your Sonic project was really in Blitz3D) but creating a compiler... no, seriously, you have no idea how difficult that is.Caton wrote:you mean make one
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Take Muzozavr's advice. It's nearly impossible to create a Blitz3D compiler. If, for whatever reason you really wish to create a game for a different console, use a different program which includes the compiler.Caton wrote:you mean make one

I really don't think you are understanding the amount of effort and work that goes into making things like operating systems and compilers. Both are gigantic projects that would take professional teams of programmers/software engineers months (or even years) to make. It would be virtually impossible for one man to make something like that. The thousands of hours (and dollars) it would take to make an os and a game system would be very much wasted.
no
In MS's case, an OS is unnecessary. Unless a DOS game is counted as an OS.Randy290 wrote:The Wonderland Game system
play wonderland games on there
learn how to make levels

Ah nevermind,We already have the original trilogy,the wonderland adventures trilogy and the editor
I dont see a point in making a game system
unless you have uh some ideas for MS
