Signatures on posts
Hey Everyone,
I've looked at the FAQs and other places here, but can't find a way to add an automatic signature to my posts. The FAQs say to set it up through my profile area, but I don't see where to do that. Will someone please give me instructions? Thanks!

Hey speegled,
Thanks for responding. I had already done what you suggested. I went back to my profile to take a look, and I don't see the area that you're suggesting.
I have attached a poor quality (but readable) .jpg of my profile. Will you please tell me exactly the area where I can enter my signature?
Thanks!

Hi Anne, I think the problem is that you already have an avatar - a very beautiful one! You might try removing the avatar and see if the "signature" box doesn't open up. It should be located just above the "Preferences" list.
From the Forum Rules: "The following rules are in effect:
a. Signature or Avatar Images
Please use either a signature image or an avatar image, not both. If you use
(i) an Avatar Image: this image/animation can be 120x120 pixels large. You may still use a single line of text, but no images or multi-line text for your signature.
(ii) a Signature Image: Please ensure that your signature image/animation are up to 120 pixels long (i.e. vertical). You are also limited to a single line of text before or after the image, but no avatar image or multi-line signature text.
(iii) no Image: if you use neither avatar nor signature image, your signature may be up to three lines of text long."

Hope this helps, Good Luck!

To Gen, uneekrose, and loof101,
Thank you all so much for your help.
Gen, I never thought to look for the answer in the forum rules. Thanks!
uneekrose, it does look like your profile page has 1 extra text area at the top. I'll see if loof101's idea about the 10 posts makes that happen.
Thanks, loof101. Here's post number "9"!

Solution to signature problem
Hey loof101,
I just realized that I forgot to answer your question. The cat in the picture is Patches. She's a Maine Coon cat. Her litter mate's name is Myst. No secret about which adventure game I was playing when I got her!
And...you were right! I had to post 10 posts before my signature text box was available to me. Thanks!
