Highscores

Post by Midnight Synergy » Sun Nov 30, 2003 6:15 pm

Inspired by OldLloyd's remarks and Kyles' finishing of RTW, how about a round of scores achieved in both Wonderland and Return To Wonderland???

So far we have OldLlyod with 280,870 in Wonderland. What's your score?

Wonderland, I only have 211,720.

RTW I have 295,920.

As you can tell, I wasn't going for points, I was just happy to complete each level for both games!!!

Wonderland: 193,436
(need to replay a lot of levels and get all the Bonus Coins, methinks!)

Return To Wonderland: Not Completed Yet (another 20 levels or so to go - thank god for the "Unlock All Worlds" option) 8)

High Scores

Post by Old Lloyd » Mon Dec 01, 2003 7:16 pm

Site Admin:

It would be very interesting if you would post the highest scores your staff has achieved for each World and Level.

That would give us a target to shoot for and to know what is possible.

Thanks,

I don't think I have a full level score available. Our "Players" remained the same during testing, so often levels were changed, removed, added, etc. Any score would not be a true representation of the final game. Sorry. :(

Lloyd, your scores are pretty impressive. You've got some rather zippy fingers. Guess we can't know what a perfect score is, but you must be close. Old indeed, guy!

I'll post my scores soon. Was just waiting until I finish the last couple of levels. That shouldn't take me too many more months.

Sabatical on Return to Wonderland

Post by Old Lloyd » Mon Dec 08, 2003 10:55 pm

I'm going to take a break from RTW.

I don't think I'll ever solve them all.

I solved 34 of them. You can see my scores (for what it's worth) at:

Good luck,

Gee, Lloyd, if you don't think you'll ever solve all the puzzles in RTW, what hope is there for me? Just wanted to tell you I am particularly impressed with your score of 5250 for Tower Top Prison. I was glad to make it thru this one at all, and when I tried to do it over to improve my terrible score (can't remember the exact number but it was around 1800) I couldn't even do it again. Must have just been luck the first time!

Perhaps you'll think about creating a custom level while taking a rest from game play?

Hi!

Just finished all the levels in RTW (There's Got to be Another Way was kicking my butt; I almost passed out when I got the second block past the flying saucer) My high score was 303860!

I still have two to go in RTW, "Arena" and "They Came Across the River," and my current score is 311,362. Any hints on solving those last two???

In Wonderland, I still have to fuss with the Armory a little, and then I am done with that one too.

Wow - all those high scores. My Wonderland score is only 240,140. RTW score will not be available for quite awhile. I need to FINISH it first! The level editor is a major distraction! (But, I love it!)

Finally finished RTW...

Post by David » Sat Jan 10, 2004 5:25 am

...with a score of 356,410. Got all the bonus points except for Underwonderworld L10 "Proper Shielding". Could NOT figure out a way to leave two saucers alive - always three get shot, and there doesn't seem to be any way to lead the remaining one to the other side.

I would like say thanks to Lloyd for giving me some thing to go after with his score of 280,870. Will I have been working for the last two months to better my score and I did with a score of 281,120. If you would like I could post the scores for each level.

Also thanks to Midnight Synergy for Wonderland and Return of Wonderland, great games and lots of fun. Keep up the good work.

thanks all Dave ( a little younger than Lloyd I am only 60)

Have just completed both of the Wonderland games.

Can you beat my total scores ??

WONDERLAND - 285,160

RETURN TO

WOW! I can guarantee that I will never beat those scores. You have me by over 136,000
Welcome aboard! With skills like that we expect you to start creating your own puzzles for us to solve. :D
I have a feeling bonus coins will be involved in it :)

Well Majic 1,
This ought to make you feel better-----my Wonderland score is 159416, with 6 boards showing score of 1.
My RTW total is 141593, with 13 boards scoring 1 !!!!!!!!
I first played with no time limit, and have been going back thru trying to use timed to up score, but this silly old custom level thing sort of side-tracked me!!!
Yes, I'm a donkey......

Having submitted a level for the competition relatively early, having been "sidetracked" by custom levels for so long, and knowing I'll be majorly (and delightfully) sidetracked for probably at least 2 weeks after Feb 5, I decided to try to get through the last few levels I have left on Wonderland 1 this past weekend.

Well, I finally finished that game tonight! :D Oh right, my grand total stands at 317720, if that matters.

RTW? I still have at least 20 levels to go on that one.....and the levels in that game tends to be a bit tougher. Anyway, I won't be worrying about that until I played through all the custom levels I have yet to look at!

Hi LinkyNstoof,

Malcdelsol here - thought my scores for the two Wonderland games (see earlier post) were fairly competetive, but WOW, your Wonderland 1 total of 317720 is phenomenal and has put my total to shame

Let us know what your final total is for RTW when you can drag yourself away from those Custom Levels.

Anyway congrats,

As your score is still second highest around here, there's no reason to feel bad! 8) My score probably just means I'm spending way more time with the game than I should.

Alright, you got my competitive spirit going...
My best for Wonderland is "only" 307320. To get to your level, I need to improve by about 10,000 points... (I see many late nights in the near future :) ).

Could you please post your scores for each level/world so I can see what I need to improve on!?!?! I'll be happy to post my scores if there is an interest.

Thanx!

I was thinking of asking you to do the same thing. This gives me something to shoot for. Although I have to re-do all but 4 levels (I beat you on 2 and tied you on 2). So I guess its back to playing. I already did this once after Old Lloyd posted his.
This will give me something to do between new levels.

(epic old topic wake up here)

EDIT: Alright, so I'm rewriting the entire post now, because:

I beat LinkyNStoof's total score!!!

My overall score is now 318370 -- and that's despite the fact that there are still many improvements for me to do! I have mostly perfect worlds from 1 to 5, but there are still some "leftover" not-so-good scores in worlds from 6 to 10.

It can often be quite hard to tie or beat a LinkyNStoof score on a given level. Very strange routes and tricks may be required!

The optimal score in Wonderland can then most definitely reach above 320K, maybe even higher than that!

I do have one "miraculous" score, however, that for all practical purposes is impossible to do again unless I somehow figure out the route once more: 4830 on W7L4. I did everything exactly right and a bunch of enemies exploded off-screen all by themselves. I guess they trapped a Kaboom! or something. So it's not a totally "clean" victory, but I don't care.

Besides, I only need 350 (EDIT: I MISCOUNTED HERE) points for that victory to be clean - or even less if I can beat his 4100 score again without resorting to epic luck.

WELL DONE! GAME COMPLETED!
!!! NEW FORUM RECORD! !!!

EDIT: After a great improvement on W6L1 and a tiny one on W8L4, it's now 318460. The "clean" victory is nearing... I still need 160 points for it despite getting 4190 on "that one level" -- I miscounted the first time.

EDIT 2: Improved on W9L6 and finally, 318740! So now I finally have a "clean" victory over LinkyNStoof -- YES!!!

EDIT 3: 319030!!! When/if I ever end up finishing my scoreruns, it's probably going to go over 320K!
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
