WA: MOFI (Wonderland Adventures 2) Beta Testing

Post by Midnight Synergy » Mon Oct 27, 2008 6:22 am

Hello!

Beta Testing for Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island is going to get under way in about a week's time.

I would like to invite 3-4 people from the board to join the already existing group of designers and testers, and act as beta testers in the coming weeks.

Here's what the assignment entails:

* You would receive a copy of the beta version of the game once ready.

* You would be expected to give the game a thorough playing... I'm hoping to get at least a couple of people to finish the game (although perhaps not with every level completed) in a 2-3 week period. You will have access to a private forum where you can discuss solutions, but it would still entail a period of fairly intensive gaming.

* Once the game is released, you will receive a free copy of the final version, as well as your name in the game's credits.

What I need from you, if you are interested:

* An e-mail with your full name, forum name, and what type of computer you run, and how "good" you would consider yourself a player to be (e.g. did you complete the first game? did you need help or cheat? etc). Feel free to add a personal note why you'd like to be a tester for the game.

* A committment to keep all information about the game absolutely confidential. No sharing info about the game during the beta period.

* A committment to play the game very thoroughly for a 2-3 week period in November. If you don't have the time next month to really get into a new Wonderland game, please don't apply.

* A committment to post comments in the private forum regarding your experience, including bugs, problems with levels, etc, etc.

* An understanding that you will be playing a potentially unfinished/buggy version of the game, and that patches may have to be applied during the beta period.

If you're ready to dive in and take a trip to Fire Island, please e-mail me with the above information and a quick note that you've read and commit to the given rules.

I will be selecting testers in a few days - so get your e-mail in quickly.

Its not like their giving out your address, phone number, zip code, etc. LOL! Besides, there could be a number of Duncans in the world. Even with the same last name!

Don't flame people as far as I know it's a bannable offence.

Also giving out your full name.... Won't get you killed.

I DO!!!! The goverment of canada doesn't kill people randomly. 8)

And hey, it's a last name. It's not like the goverment's going to come to MS and say "gimmie moshe's last name. or i shall sue you and then kill you." And then they have it and look on their supercomputer and say "here's where he lives. now, go kill him!"

GREAAAAAAAT IMAGINATION, GUYS.

Now, bakontopiknowplzkthxbai

Giving out your last name on the Internet isn't exactly like blowing up a bomb or something. I've done it myself on numerous occasions and I've received nothing more than benefits from it. This of course depends on where you give out your name and for what reasons.

YOU ARE SOOOOOOOO SMART, THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT! by my posts I meant don't do it on an open forum like this. (jdl you CAN POST THAT PM) But MS, keep the members' last names a secret, or they WILL die.

Duncan, have you ever consitered the option of asking MS to keep your last name anonmous? (Spelling?)

I'm not worried about it though.
