Wonderland For Iphone!

Post by paulm12 » Fri Aug 21, 2009 3:58 pm

I think there should be a wonderland for the iPhone, preferable RTW Platinum, anyone else agree? The Iphone's Open GL 3d makes it perfect for such a task. I have been reading in to app development and have designed a few simple apps, but I believe many of the games that should be on the platform from well-known developers, do not exist. I am able to play it on my touch via Jaddu, but I need internet connection and that can be hard to come by. I am not trying to spam this board or anything, I just think it would be a nice asset and selling point for the series. Take a look at PC/Mac games that utilize this platform, (Snail Mail, Luxor, Atlantis Sky Patrol,...) the list goes on to show that computer games run on the platform seamlessly and achieve this with little to no sacrifice. Interesting puzzles could be made with the touch screen and accelorometer. One guy made like 7.1 Million by creating a chopper app. Think of the impact a big name title like Wonderland could do there...it sounds good to me.
If you're reading this, you've officially finished the actual post and are just reading my pointless sig.

I'd be interested if it were for the DS or something, in the same way that the game N became N+ on the DS.

If you had Adventures on the DS, you could use the Touch Screen to move around, open your inventory, talk to NPCs, cast magic, etc. The top screen could be a map of the area, along with your score, coins, gold stars, and maybe in the Rescue adventures, how many more Wee Stinkers you need to find.

If it were on the Wii, it could have the same concept, but with better graphics, and using the Wiimote instead of the stylus. Only thing would be moving the score, coins, etc, back into the inventory.

All very interesting concepts... :)

But it's pretty hard to use the Wii Remote. If you mess up when casting magic, it could be game over. Still, I like the idea for the NDS. The Stylus is MUCH easier to control.

That would be the only problem, yeah. Maybe if Nintendo got Wii-level graphics on the DS.

They have a few games like that, such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Animal Crossing Wild World. I don't see why not! :)

Well,unless Blitz3D supports iPhone.........................

D/P

I just found this awesome picture on my ImageShack account.

Regardless of if the DS's graphics aren't too great, it's still useful for something:

A Wonderland Adventures for the iPhone/iPod Touch is a splendid idea. But, a classic one would not fit so perfectly. You see, the touch screen adapts to fluid motions, not grid based motions (I think).

But the classic Wonderland would be best on some sort of game console *cough* PSP *cough*.

This reminds me...

I tried putting Wonderland on my PSP. I didn't get much success. If I do then I'll make a video. (apologies if off topic)

Maybe if there was some way to hack the files, so that it could convert into different formats.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD :D

So, we can actually get WA on DS, lets say? That would rule.

Wait, it wouldn't happen to work on Game Maker games, would it? ET4 on DS would rule. :P

Yeah, it would. I think there's actually a program somewhere that allows Game Maker games to be put onto a cartridge.

I'd imagine the controls for Evil Toaster would be something like:

A: Jump
B: D-Smash
X: Shoot Splapple
Y: Action Button (for reading dialogues and stuff)

OMG
I hope you find that program. I'd gladly buy a copy of ET4 for DS if you made it. :D
(As long as my mom lets me buy, and if you actually sell it. *shot*)

I think for DS or Wii, it be cool!

DS would probably be easier.

Iphone would be pretty good to!
If you bothered to copy and paste this signature, or zoom in, to make it possible to read, then I wasted 5-10 seconds of your life.
