where did ms get beach sounds

Post by Caton » Tue Aug 02, 2016 9:23 am

did he record them? or did he just take a clip and remove voices?

I can hear some voice if you listen carefully. and it's in mono and bad quality.

most sfx are in stereo.

Beach sound as in what? From which game?
Do you mean the waves crashing onto the beach, or wind blowing through the trees, or just general ambience?

I think you're referring to the beach track that plays in MOFI in the beach instead of regular music (also selectable in the editor).

Search for "beach sfx" and after a little you'll probably find it (suggestion: search in public domain, if there is no credits for sound effects in the credits, then that means that either Patrick owns them or it's in public domain, the latter is much more likely). There's no real mystery behind where did MS find the sound effect (whoops I shouldn't have said that this way). And it changes nothing whether the SFX is in stereo or mono, seriously.
