Fun Ideas

How about a bumpy tile, which stinkers and monsters can walk on, but boxes can't. Boulders will roll across this tile, but they will slow down while they go over the "hill". Also, how about electro-bridges! They are electro-tiles that collapse after you step off of them 1, 2, or 3 times. How about continuous boulders that reverse the other way when they hit a wall or other obstacle! How about monsters that die and leave a 3x3 mess of bonus coins! (or rainbow coins!) (or boxes or boulders!) How about monsters that duplicate when they're supposed to die! How about something that distracts chompers so they won't follow you! How about buttons that can only be pressed by certain objects/characters/monsters!
Now these are actually good ideas, LAN.
How about a monster that when killed leaves a 3x3 square which contains whatever you put in? (skelwings from SubTerra) And I don't mean a single object, a fully customisable 3x3 square which can contain different things.
How about a possibility of custom animated 3D models? Probably won't work, but sometimes you want such things...

"save game" feature
Hi everybody,
Has anyone here played Kings Quest? Wonderland reminds me of it, in the sense that the character walks around collecting things that it needs to solve the puzzle. (In that sense, wonderland is somewhat simpler.) The one very good thing I found about King's quest is that you could save your game after you collected each item. That way, when you die, you can come back to the exact place you were before.
I know Wonderland is a completely different game, and a level is considered one stage... That is, the game is automatically "saved" when you complete one level.
Still, on some of the longer levels that take over ten minutes and have the most dangerous part near the end, that means repeating nine minutes of play twenty times, until you can replay the dangerous part once.
Yours,
Janelle

I love skelwings! You know that level in SubTerra, "You Only Live Twice"? It is so hard, and I can never complete it. I'd like to create my own version though (oh yeah, we should keep that "SubTerra" topic going )Muzozavr wrote:How about a monster that when killed leaves a 3x3 square which contains whatever you put in? New Feature:
Air Box - This box can make a bridge through empty space, but to get it there, you need to do one of the following, which are my two ideas for it:
1( Get special "Shadow Gloves." There are three different types. The first type lasts for ever, and the second type lasts one push. The third one also lasts one push, but it is reusable.
2(Press a special "Shadow Button" which acts like every other button, except that it spreads magic all over the level which allows you to push the box. Oh, I got another idea: Maybe you could have a second type, which activats transparent "Shadow Walls," which you can walk through. You can push an air box through these. Combining round shadow buttons with Shadow Glove V3 could make an interesting puzzle.

Well, "You Only Live Twice" is pretty easy if you play in EASY mode, but hard mode is a real bastard. Still haven't mastered that level.
And another idea from SubTerra: two exits on a level. The easy exit and the hard exit. The latter is more challenging, but required for a "perfect" solution.

...So the easier exit has less score. And the hard exit has a bonus level behind it,in there you just need to slide and watch the show.Muzozavr wrote:Well, "You Only Live Twice" is pretty easy if you play in EASY mode, but hard mode is a real bastard. Still haven't mastered that level.

I tried playing "You Only Live Twice" again, and I did it (on easy mode). Brian Boitano is a mind screw, but we are getting very off-topic here.
On-topic: what about slow cannon fire that follows a set path without reflectors? That would rock! (says me after playing a bullet hell shmup)

How about moving reflectors?
Time control (you could pause a fireball in mid-flight, and lure a chomper into it! Well, you would have to somehow detach the chomper from the 'time-freezer'.)?

adding on to mqdar's idea,
A time freezer! it is like a cannon but it fires purple fireballs and insted of destroying anything it hits it will freeze it for a amount of time that is speicifeid!

WA ideas (assuming they aren't in MOFI)

Fireflowers that rotate with buttons like springs, transporters (or planks ) do

It can be carried in your inventory.
Super Cannons. Shoot fireballs that destroy EVERYTHING above ground except walls. They are red and shoot red fireballs. When shooting they go backward one tile if on land. If in water or anywhere else that is not on land, they don't go anywhere.
EDIT: Forgot one detail, they can't go in a wall. A wall stops their movement.

Cell Phone Pickup:
Once you pick it up, using it will show you "calls" that you get, maybe when you step on an invisible button, you could also "call" stinkers that you knew he number of. For unavailable dialogs, there would be a dialog of the stinker being unavailable, or not answering.

That said, I still want a diagonal refelctor.
New ideas:
Shrink Ray: shrinks your stinker, so that he can only walk around, he can't push anything, or press buttons.
Enlarge Ray: does not work on a normal stinker. Returns to normal the shrinked ones.
Magic Bouncer: you "blink" on an object, which moves your blink according to certian rules, possibly akin to a trampoline.

Shrink ray v2.0:It shrinks a normal stinker into a smaller one.He act like wee stinker except he can move by keyboard, and he can still control wee stinkers.
It can also work on monsters so the monsters will only make wee stinker die,and not normal stinkers.
Enlarge ray v2.0:It enlarges a wee stinker/shrieked stinker into a normal stinker.
This does not work on normal stinkers.

Here are my ideas:
1. A you have two online players and the player that kills the other player or gets to the exit first wins.
2. Single color coins. Like Rainbow Coins, but only open certain colored gates.
3. The gates for the single color coins.
4. Why stop at two story levels? We could have three story levels, four story levels, five story levels...
5. Conveyor belts for monsters.
6. Extra lives.
7. Teleporters that teleport monsters.
8. Different rooms in one level.
9. An indestructible pill. When one of the players collect it, he becomes indestructible.
10. Chompers that only follow you if you are close enough.
11. Invisible Chompers. Can only be detected by the sound of their nyacking. Very dangerous.
