Not in the ideal sense Mette.
It would be possible to give an appearance of 2 levels by having 2 separate models (depending on what it is - house, boat etc) & teleporters linking the two. ie the ground floor on the lower level would be on the y=0 plain, on the upper floor the model would be shifted down so that the 2nd level would be at the same position... make sense? maybe it needs a screenshot... Pauline... someone.

I'm not sure about if szai was thinking the same as me But I'm thinking not just the appearance of two floors at different height but actual walkable floors in different height. Like if you could walk on top of the walls and push boxes etc. around up there. That would really make some new puzzles possible....

Fun ideas...
I think that szai14 had a great idea about the extra dimensions,
I don't see why it can't be done. All those in favor of a VERTICAL
dimension please raise their hands.
So far Stinky can only go North,South,West,and East.
I would like to see UP and DOWN dimensions added, therefore there would be elevators, escalators, basements, and attics to
make the game super complex!
How about some more complex buttons or switches?
Let's add "NOT", and "AND" switches:
There may be situations where it takes two (AND) buttons to be pressed to make a gate open. Also, let's create a (NOT) button that when stepped on results in a gate closing.
Create a "TRADING PLACES" teleport....it only activates when
two objects are standing at both ends....For example, Stinky and Loof
may cooperate and trade places this way, OR, a monster and Stinky may
trade places this way.
Create a "BLACK HOLE" square. For Example: Object A falls or walks into the black hole and is trapped. Object A can only get out when some other object B falls into that same black hole (and trades places).
How about creating more dynamic monsters?
Let's create some mutant Kabooms that can also push wooden boxes
or purhaps travel across bridges, transporters, and through teleports.
That would make them very scary.
Create monsters that can become smarter and more dangerous with time. Some monsters can steal or hide your coins and $.
Add special effects, like dust and shadows.
I've made a list here of yet more things to add:
Two more types of chompers -- { green chompers and blue chompers }
Slower spikes and electros...for those of us that can't stand them...
More types of walls... therefore more texture possibilities...
More types of floors...therefore more texture possibilities...
Link spheres that can fall into water or lava, and go through teleports...
Programmable cannons...create cannons that only turn on with a switch.
Ice that melts... and turns into water...
Water that freezes...and turns into ice...
Boxes with monsters hidden inside them...some boxes are empty...
Monsters that lay eggs...the eggs later hatch and more monsters come...
Coins of user supplied values...create gates that open with coin payment
Create U.F.O.s that fight eachother!
More types of fish swimming in the water...
How about adding alligators to the water?...The alligators can come out..
Let's add lasers to the game...
The lasers come in elemental colors and can be merged into new
colors with special optics devices like prisms and reflectors, etc...
Let's add horizontal and vertical reflectors...
(So far, the reflectors are only horizontal.)
Create special switches that can be activated by laser or cannon fire...
Create Nitro Kegs that are more explosive than regular powder kegs...
Create friendly Coilys...the Coilys try to run away from you...and if you
catch one of them you get extra points...
We have the 4 heroes, shall we add 10 more?
Let's create user-supplied music,... just as like cusom textures...
When things are slow the heroes can dance to the music...

I think your talking about creating a whole new game!
For me the spirit of the game is having to use your brains to
solve the levels. I for one already find it too taxing sometimes to solve the problem only to die because my fingers aren't fast enough to cope with all the little surprises some people like to stick in!!
The frustration level has reached a new high for me and unless I'm having a good day I don't even bother to do some peoples levels. This is too bad because brain wise they're excellent levels, I just get tired of
dieing all the time!!! If I want to play shoot'em up I play Luxor or
Ricochet which require no brains.

Lots of good ideas in there, but I agree with others - no way to do that as an "update" - it would need a new game engine written from scratch.
Now, I'm in the process of doing that, but it will likely be quite a different type of game than the "classic" Wonderland trilogy - but it's too early to say much about it at this point (I might have a bit more to say - or rather, ask - in the near future). In the meantime, no harm in posting ideas of what you'd like to be able to do in the Wonderland world, regardless of wether or not it is likely to happen.
Now, I'm in the process of doing that, but it will likely be quite a different type of game than the "classic" Wonderland trilogy - but it's too early to say much about it at this point (I might have a bit more to say - or rather, ask - in the near future). I would agree that more teleporter colors would be nice.
Otherwise, I love Wonderland the way it is. With the new Platinum update, and all the great and unique creators out there, I don't see how you can be bored.
That's not to say any of your ideas are bad. It would be cool to see a game with some of them. I look forward to what Patrick has in store for us in the future!

Wow! You both have some ideas! I would add only 2 things, one is that they would be more colors for the teleporters and the other one would be to add a new type of button, one that can move objects, I explain what I mean.
You are in a maze but you cant find the exit but as soon as you press that button the hidden exit appears somewhere in that maze and you exit or you are in a zone full of buttons that you can't press but a Z-bot generator could activate them with the Z-bots produced and you press the button and the generator appears! (Of course the nasty surprise could be that it lands so that if you don't escape quickly you get killed).
But with this update it will mean much fun for some years.

Toggle Buttons
How About Toggle Buttons Simmalar to the "NOT" "AND" Buttons but One Opens the gate then you press the other one to close it again

How about a toggling reflector? Reflector, which changes itself in the opposite angle after reflecting a fireball.
OR how about a diagonal reflector? It will reflect the fireball diagonally.

I really think we like it the way it is. All those additions - even if they could be done - would make it a completely different game.kiki wrote: I like it how it is now.
Patrick gives us new toys once in a while, and that's just about right - just a few at a time. Too much all at once would be very confusing.
I don't play many other (if any) computer games, but it seems as though all the elements you are asking for are in other types of games. Maybe those are the ones that you should be playing.
I think we all enjoy new ideas in new levels, but don't let's change the game.

Szai14 is so creative with the Map Editor idea, and those other things.
I'm not exactly sure what a Map is... but still, it's a good idea.
I would like to add that it would be nice if Wonderland had
a game-play recording option, that would create and save replays
into a small (binary-type) file that may be shared (and emailed).
Liz's Gravity puzzles would be spectacular.
I would like to see 3 Stinkers pushing a huge 3x3 Rock!

Qman's idea's about Toggle buttons are so logical -- We need Toggles.

Clever a.i. may be buit into it to solve nearly anything.
We may sit back, relax, and watch as the computer struggles
to solve some clever level we create.
(And some levels shall have no solution at all ~! )
Let's further evolve this a.i. with special algorithms, so that it may,
if we wish, randomly generate Wonderland levels for us,
perhaps with special user-supplied hints and constraints.
We could add a fourth dimension...

I second that Mark - all of us who make levels know how much of a chore it is to write out the solution. If we could just record our own action solution at the time of making the level, life would be much easier.Amadeus! wrote:For those of use who get struck on the tricky levels,
