New Level (Adv) Lillie Does Japan
New Level (Adv) Lillie Does Japan
I struggled through three long weeks without Internet.
To preserve my sanity, I began playing Wonderland again.
I had a secret stash of Lillie levels to keep me company.
I was inspired by her level, "What? No Custom Texture?"
My title is from Liz Mayhew's beautiful Japan Blue texture.
Marlie is the first 3 letters of Mark and the last 3 of Lillie.
Have Fun!

Here's hoping your Internet goes down, again (but not for too long). Good to see you back, Mark.
[Edit] I'm needing some help figuring out how to not blow up the chomper on the ice slide - please.

No please! I am a major Internet junkie!annedanner wrote:Here's hoping your Internet goes down (but not for too long).
If it weren't for Lillie, I don't know how I would have survived last month.
This project was my way of coping through that period.
I honestly don't have any plans for another level.
But things in life are seldom set in stone.

Put box in ditch/break-tile beside chomper to lead him out. First be sure to push barrel down one on the right side.

OK, I take back what I said about the Internet.
Sorry, I wasn't specific. How do I keep him from dying when I get up to the boxes by the red button? I'm assuming that's the chomper's purpose?

You are correct, Anne.annedanner wrote:How do I keep him from dying when I get up to the boxes by the red button? I'm assuming that's the chomper's purpose?
Destroy the last box on the right side by closing the barrel inside the red gate. Be sure you are inside the top-left room with the conveyors when you do so

Edit: Liz, I sent you a PM too.

It's a total mystery to me, as usual.
Stumped ...I can't get out of the top area unless I cover the pink button with a barrel.
I can't destroy the last box, lower right.
If I lead the chomper back up to the top I can't escape from the conveyor room.
I have no idea about the green timer.

OK, then...I got this one finished. Thanks, Mark, for another challenging level. Thanks, Marinus, for letting me know about a jump of which I was unaware.

I keep getting messed up by the box on the tps at the exit, am I doing something wrong?
Edit: Never mind it was a timing issue, although having to do the whole level over and over again just to end up with a tricky timing move at the end didn't exactly make this one of my favourites.
But thanks for the effort.

Thanks for the help Mark and Marinus!
Without that, I'd never have made it to the end.
What a totally devious level. So much to do in such a small space. So much to-ing and fro-ing. Such clever use of all the equipment.
The exit timing caused me about 3 extra restarts, but I got it right eventually.
Excellent fun Mark! Maybe some more revamps could be possible?

Welcome back Mark!!!
Just by chance I decided to play an easy level by someone new, just to relax a bit before resuming work and encouraging them to keep trying. As I continued to play I got more and more frustrated - "This is not a novice!" and finally, "this must be Mark!". I spent much more time on this than I could afford and was just about to give up on the green timer, so for the last time I decided to just go somewhere that made no sense, nothing to lose anyway - and found a SURPRISE (actually the same kind of surprise that I placed in my own first level). Thereafter it was a breeze, as I expected it to be in the first place...
Thank you Mark!

Walk-Through
Here's the complete walk-thru by Marinus.
Thank you, my friend!
Thank you, my friend!
1. After a box goes below you to the right, step D on conveyor, and walk R to pink gate. Push barrel U on button. Other barrel 1D to red gate.
2. Get clock right of yellow sphere/box. Go over top breaktile and push sphere R. Box UL in water. Stand R of lower breaktile to lure chomper there and walk all the way L. Quickly walk all the way U and R, and lure chomper to 2 below aqua button.
3. Stand in white gate, and just before a box hits the other one, push it L. (so they destroy each other, or destroy both boxes in white gate)
4. Step U on conveyor, to lure chomper there, activate timer again, stand on leftmost normal floortile, and just before chomper comes there, step D on conveyor and walk clockwise around to lure chomper on red button.
5. Push right barrel 1D in red gate, and slide over the ice into the white timer room, to start the generators. Avoid the chomper like before, quickly push lower box R on yellow button, and lure the chomper again on red button.
6. Push upper barrel L on ice, 2 barrels in water and one on conveyorbutton. When white gate is closed, stand left of barrel on timer. Quickly push barrel DLD, and R to below breaktiles. Use breaktiles to push barrel D in yellow gate.
7. Push yellow sphere U, activate white timer, avoid chomper and walk around to push sphere L. Push sphere L again and quickly walk all the way D to lure chomper back on red button, before white gate opens.
8. Go to lower-right area, push steelbox L, jumping LLU to breaktile, push barrel U in water and get coin. Lure chomper from red button clockwise around to barrelgenerator, and then to green timer to put flame out.
9. Activate green timer, get coin below gate and lure other chomper to 2 below aqua button. Avoiding rolling sphere, stand 2 left of white timer, step U and all the way D. Then R to lure chomper to red button.
10. Go again to lower-right area and jump L. When steelbox appears on white TP, quickly enter it and slide D on ice inside steelbox, get coin on blue button, push steel through TP, twice over tramp, through TP to blue button. Go through blue gate and TP's to exit.
