Pop Springs

Please help. I finally made it to the Pop Springs level to find the mushroom key. With a lot of difficulty, I made it past the first set of transporters using only 2 blinks. However, it took me another 6 blinks to get to the second set of transporters, leaving me with only one blink, which is apparently not enough to finish the level. What am I doing wrong?
