Not sure if anyone will have an answer, but either way...

Does anyone know where WA/MoFI get the colors for the Magic Glove chargers from? I've been messing around with files, changed around some of the key/gate/etc. colors, and it's taken effect on everything except the glove chargers.

I can't find a file where it'd pull the colors from, so I'm wondering if anyone knows.

EDIT: Actually, adding on to that, same thing for the dialog color modifiers.

I can't say I'm particularly expecting anyone to know the answer, but if someone does, I'd like to know. Thanks. :)

Magic chargers seem to be colorized with a single solid color rather than a texture. The same goes for the text colors.

Hmmm... figured. I'd assume it's stored in the wg.exe then, thing is I don't know where. I have an idea on how to find it, going to go try it now...

I think it may be hardcoded into the game with something like "Display color [insert RGB values here]".

Yeah, that's a possibility. I'm hoping that's not the case, but my attempt at finding the colors just now didn't work.

There must be a special code to make the rainbow color on the changer, since it changes colors. (color 7)

I think i know.
But its only a Far Fetched Guess. Try finding the Gates File (OR any file that has all Colours in the game for Keys Gates.etc)
As the Gloves use the Rainbow Colours. So do Gems, Shards, Gates, Keys.etc MAYBE if you edit those, the colours of the chargers will change. AT The sake of that one colour for all items associated iwth it, of course.

That is correct.

Yeah, I've changed all instances I've found of colors, and everything but the magic chargers and text I've figured out. Even the particles file.

Right now I'm betting that it is indeed hardcoded into the game, I went and searched the wg.exe for a few of the color codes, but when I found one and changed it nothing happened.

What I was trying to do was change the rainbow colors of the game to be a bit closer to an actual rainbow (specifically, blue has been changed from cyan to a deeper blue, indigo is more purple, and purple's a bit less pink). The purple glove charger is fine, but blue and indigo (mainly indigo) look much different from the particle colors.

I don't really have any particular reason for this, just been messing around and seeing what kind of stuff I can do.

I've gone through just about all of the .wdf files I can find, changed both the gate texture file and button texture file, and still no dice, so... yeah.

Oh, don't worry, I appreciate the help. Thanks everyone~

I've been checking around and haven't found much to change it, but I came up with an idea for a workaround that I think will work, but a bit disappointed that I'll have to do that for every Brr glove charger.

The dialog text was secondary, so I can live without it.

I'm not sure I follow. What I changed was pretty much every .wdf I could find that had the colors in it.

Off the top of my head... The particles file (charger particles), gates, buttons, and gems/teleporters.

I've been experimenting with the colors just for something to do, and it always kinda bugged me that the indigo color in WA/MoFI was really just dark blue, to be honest. :lol:

Problem is trying to find a balance between indigo and purple to keep them from looking too similar... Easier said than done so far.
