Wonderland Adventures: Operation Mecha

Post by LexieTheFox » Mon Nov 11, 2013 8:46 am

Since I've had enough inspiration to do so. I'm making a hub (which, for the record. DOES have a chance of being abandoned. But I usually come back to things like this and finish them. So chances are it won't stay that way!)
Highlight to read the plot VV
Operation Mecha has you play the role of "Agent 47", an agent (obviously) in a secret stinker covert ops organization. Your two best friends and co-workers, Topso and Juan. Are part of your team. You're the most elite team the organization has, and thus are therefore the first choice in dangerous, world endangering missions such as this. A stinker under the codename "The Mechanizer" has appeared, stating he plans to change Wonderland entirely with his new revolutionary creations. You have been tasked to stopping them! Will you succeed? Or will you fail? You will run into many twists and turns along the way, including finding out who this "Mechanizer" REALLY is!
Higlight to read the plot ^^

(The player's agent number is actually an accidental reference to Hitman: Resolution. A friend pointed out the reference to me when I showed it to him. I made the name with that game in mind, but I forgot his actual number. )

And I actually, do have screenshots! Of the first adventure (Which I can sadly say does NOT have any puzzles in it. It is a kickstarter adventure, but due to being imcomplete I will attempt to squeeze in a few puzzles at the end to make up for it)

The screenshots look good but I feel the story is somewhat unfitting the wonderland theme. You see, stinkers are actually good guys who live alongside with nature. Your plot seems to violate the original WA story

Who knows? Perhaps maybe there ARE some stinkers out there who are truly bad..?
We don't know for sure. So it's nice to switch from the same thing from time to time just to shake it up a little.
(I may return to the WA Storyline by adding onto the "Twist" with Mechanizer.. You'll see  )
Also, thank you for the compliment.

Update - with pictures :D

And they are all of Adventure #1: And So It Begins...
Yes, Adventure #1 is pretty much the most action packed as of the present.
(There are still puzzles thrown in, don't worry :) )

I could see many differant outcomes from this effect of evil stinkers...
Perhaps they're mind-controlled? Perhaps they're a different species that's in disguise or just looks a whole lot like stinkers?
Perhaps they're just stinkers who've had a really bad day and decided to destroy everything?
Actually, all in all, my guess is the third.
Well, you can trust me; yes, I wear a z-bot cap, but... just look at that smile!
Your only little stinker that's absolutely NOT a z-bot by this name,

Villainous Stinkers have been a common element in custom WA adventures for a long time, so I guess we're all "violators" then. Unless you're upset about the agents, but I don't see anything inherently wrong with them.

So far, still on the first adventure. (Progress is actually booming as I'm actively working on it. I'm working on it right now actually!)
I've made some improvements to some of the weapon cache facility areas.

Daily Update:
I have decided not to continue reposting the adventure list, as I now realize the way my mind works will not be able to suffice with it.
You see, when I'm working on adventures/levels, if I plan something, there's a 10% chance I'll remember it. I already have three adventures, and the two after And So It Begins... are not the adventures the list says are after it.
However, I can give you the names of the currently existant adventures.

Adventure #1 And So It Begins... 100%

EDIT: I have decided to change entirely the events that take place after And So It Begins... so that I can focus more on a puzzle oriented path this time. (Seeing as it does start out with a bang.)

DP, But I need to ask you guys something.
For those who are following (Lolnottwitter) this thread for updates, I'd like to ask you a question, or any occasional passerbys.
Do you think I should go along with my idea for alternate endings?
I thought about how MS did in their levels, and it just sparked in my mind how I could do it.

You see, how'd I would do this is simple.
Have a set of multiple choices of two adventures, the same. but Variated, of which choosing the BAD one would open a gate in the ending level, and a gate in the middle, the good level would open a good gate in the ending, and a middle as well. You see, what happens is.
Once you reach the ending level. Whatever set is triggered will happen as the ending, if the player was not good or bad, the normal ending happens.
If they choose all the bad paths, the bad ending happens (I have a thing for futures. So expect a bad future dystopian theme) If they chose all the good paths. (And if I can manage can get GOLD on all of the adventures that matter on the ending's part) The Good Ending happens. (Which for the record, is the canon ending as always.)

Do you guys think I should go along with this?

DP. But there are also now three types of stars in Operation Mecha.

Bronze Stars,
These stars aren't even worth a actual star at all. Collecting one is the equivalent of a coin!

Gold Stars,
These are, obviously. The main type of star found. These are the only star that appears with a theme along with any coins, and gems in the level.

Platinum Stars,
These are rare stars found ONLY in the hub. Collecting one gives you not one, but TWO stars! It's a steal of a deal!
(Of course Platinum Stars are glitchy as it requires the flipglitch to actually give you two stars).
A Note: If I cannot get Platinum Stars to work correctly, they will be their own respective adventures, that put you in place of your free second (or more) star reward for completing the adventure, and thus will be sort of like "Hard Mode" adventures.

? What do you mean? The stars? Oh no. Just custom textures.
Bronze Stars use a dark brownish texture.
Normal stars use, well. The default star texture.
Platinum Stars have a light grey/silver star texture, and are generally bigger then other stars.

I'm not dead! Ohh no!
It's just hard to juggle playing PoTZ 100% (SECWETZZZ) and creat WA:OM!
I come to you with a new aesthetic update!

THEMES!
Yes, THEMES!
Each area that has obstacles or items in it all now resemble what they would look like in that area, respectively. Barrels and bridges become snow covered if in snow or icy environments, charred ash bridges in hot environments, .etc. .etc..

Sorry to say, but this is now currently on hold.
But as I said, it won't stay that way.
Eventually I will come back. Who knows? Maybe with MNIK's PowerWop application, I may be encouraged to come back.
I already had a bit of a spark to make THIS image, as the customary OnHold image from now on. (Expect a similar image for my back on image!)
For now, this is LexieTheFox.

I encourage you to come back! :D

But really, though, I can relate to the needed a break from it.
This is mostly why my RTW series took two years to make.
It'd be closer to half a year with as fast as I actually make levels, where the other 1.5 years came from the breaks in between.
Plus an other year or so to get the courage to come onto the forums and fix up the dialogue; at which case, I am still doing even as of uploading world twenty.

But, of course, I digress. My point being is that you certainly have me looking quite forward to this, but I still want you to take as much time as you need. :D

(Even if it does take 4 years, but some thing tells me it won't take quite that long.)

Alright.. A bit ridiculous, I know. But maybe I was a bit too hasty, announcing Operation Mecha to be on hold, hmm?
I have Jutomi, and MNIK and his PowerWop application to thank for the inspiration.
(Especially you, Jutomi. Thanks for the encouragement!)

I also come bearing pictures! :D

And a link to the current theme of Operation Mecha. Have a listen.
Do you think it fits?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SM3ziqqSWo

Refer to backon2 for this part.

If you would like to have your stinker shown (and even play a part in the storyline) of Operation Mecha please let me know. I'm happy to include anyone's stinker. I have no reason not to, anyway!
Just post here or PM me if you wish to have your stinker shown. :)

edit: Fun fact about Epicdude's stinker. He is shown using a modded bowler cap. I replaced the bowler cap with the rainbow wizard hat. And used a rainbow texture provided by Epicdude himself. So, if you have a stinker to host that uses a replaced texture, or just happen to want to get crafty. Let me know. There are lots of hats I don't use that I am happy to replace to make way for a new stinker's accessories and such.
Don't be shy now!

Yes, I do think the music fits. :D
Honestly, compared to that crazy bus music that's recieved five* votes(), I much prefer this!
And thank you for making more progress on this!
Again, I don't want you to feel pressured into doing any thing you don't want to do; However, if you feel up for it, I am certainly glad for it! :D
