So, it happened.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have been officially announced.

We've got the brand new Galar region to explore, which, from what I've heard, is based on England.

More importantly, we've got THE most ADORABLE starter Pokemon ever: the Grass Chimp Grookey, the Fire Rabbit Scorbunny, and the Water Lizard Sobble.

Oh. My. Gosh. THEY'RE SO ADORABLE I COULD BURST.

This is the first time since Ruby (my first Pokemon game I ever owned) that I'm tempted to go for a starter other than the Fire type. (Though I'm still going with Scorbunny. I think.)

Can Late 2019 just get here already? I need to get my Pokemon Sword version now... *sigh* Patience is a virtue. But I am REALLY excited for this.

Anyway... Happy Pokemon Day, everyone!

Slight bump, but this IS a Pokemon topic. So I will share this:

https://robertsreviewtime.wordpress.com ... ng-em-all/

I have finally managed to catch 'em all in Gen 1 last weekend. But note: I was on reproduced copies of physical game carts, so it was a bit of a burden trying to make progress. The full story is in the link. Currently playing Gen 2 regardless of version, and getting to the end of the Kanto side of the story before I catch 'em all there.

(Oh, and the wordpress site of mine is rather rough right now. I will fix it up eventually or something)

Impressive, and against all odds, too! If it were me, I'd have just gone with the 3DS Virtual Console versions. Granted, doing so would probably require 2 systems for trading and such, but since they managed to emulate that with local wireless, it'd still be possible. Talk about Level 100 dedication! (Oh yes, I just made a pun, saying "Level 100" instead of "next level." What can I say? I love my puns. :stinkyhappy: )

Now, that Pokemon Sword and Shield Direct tomorrow morning... THAT is going to be FUN. Plus, I miiiiiiiiiight finally be going to see Detective Pikachu tomorrow afternoon... I can hardly wait!

Did you hear the news for Sword/Shield on E3? It's been confirmed that there will be no national dex for those games... Rip.

In other words, I am in the process of catching 'em all once again, but live! Here is the first episode of it archived on Youtube:

And here is my Twitch, if it's okay to promote it here.

Mind you, I occasionally have mild language in some of my streams.

Yeah, I did. It's unfortunate, and I do hope other Pokemon from previous generations get added in an update, but it doesn't affect me much personally...

Though I do sometimes - it can be fun to tune in to certain things like GDQ - I don't usually watch livestreams (Internet is BEYOND TERRIBLE here, so doing so is often difficult), and I don't have the patience to watch archives... But shorter videos (including but not limited to stream highlights)? I'm certainly interested in those. And I can deal with some swearing, just as long as it doesn't get overboard.
