Blockland
Blockland
Wanna share this with you
Blockland is a lego style online PC game I have which you can build and make your own creations and online games with bricks. You can add lights, weapons, and emitters to make it look better.
Blockland is similar to Roblox. Blockland costs money. But Blockland is better than Roblox with its good graphics. Beleve me.
You can play a demo at the blockland website which you cannot play online and you can only build with 150 bricks. Here's the link and screenshots

Minecraft > Roblox > Blockland IMHO.
Graphics-wise, Blockland takes the cake. Minecraft, in its simplicity, is strangely more enjoyable.
Roblox can be much more sophisticated, as you can program stuff in LUA.
Blockland is Legoworld in my mind

Not really.
Minecraft is blocks, not bricks.
Blockland is limited to only real lego bricks.
Roblox is... um... different.

Minecraft > Roblox > Blockland
Blockland is so lame I haven't tried it. *ego*
Roblox I can't interact with the world, let alone make it.
Minecraft I can do stuff okay, but don't have the patience for block by block when it's so laggy for me.
So, in short, I don't like the genre so much.

i should change my signature to be rude to people who hate pictures of valves
Minecraft doesn't even work for me...

Okay. I just tried Blockland.
Roblox has _way_ more options. Blockland is more like building somewhere in real life and playing with it than Roblox is an epic adventure :3
Plus, Roblox was first and it's more successful :P
Anything in Blockland can be enhanced in Roblox. Period.

I am STILL playing Blockland after "evaluating" Roblox today.
To me, building with Roblox is more advanced with Blockland. That means I find Blockland easier. And Blockland has in-game servers as Roblox is in Internet Explorer. Roblox is LittleBIGPlanet like and LittleBIGPlanet level editor is real advanced if you're striving for quality. I don't play LittleBIGPlanet much. And you use these "robux" to buy accessories and stuff like that but you can almost do that in Blockland instantly next to making add-ons for it. Finally I think the players in Roblox look bad compared to Blockland. So here I am playing Blockland and making a Counter Strike Source mod for it (which you don't care much about).
Apologies for bringing up the topic.

... No it isn't? Roblox uses a downloadable client. The servers are hosted by the game itself so that it's not complicated to use.Technos72 wrote:Blockland has in-game servers as Roblox is in Internet Explorer.
Roblox level editing isn't "advanced" if you've read the help guide for it either. I've made several complex levels, and it's pretty easy if you know what you're doing, which only takes a few minutes to figure out.
You can make accessories in Roblox, and it's relatively easy. I've been looking into it with Blockland for maybe two months, and it doesn't sound anywhere near as easy as Roblox. Some people have made Left 4 Dead Roblox levels, all the way down to dynamic items and zombies.
Roblox is more centered on gameplay than graphics, as opposed to pretty much everything in the modern market. This is a good thing, because a good game with bad graphics is better than the opposite.
Just my opinion.
