New Level - Open the Cages
This is a level from James, another developer, who hasn't had the chance to sign-up to the forum. He e-mailed this to me, so with his permission I'm posting this for the group. Hopefully James will be able to join the forum in the future.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

I haven't gotten it yet, but this is a very good logic puzzle. Very nice!!
No other comments yet????...................I STILL haven't finished it, but just looking at it tells me we have some more good talent coming!!
I get it, everyone else has beaten it without me, right???

Yes, I'm a donkey......
and I'm purple.....
and I am Polly, Minnie's little sister.

I love this level, I haven't finished it as yet.
So far I can kill half the chompers.
I know I can do it, I just have to keep playing smart, and side stepping those saucers and chompers. Doing it over and over I get careless sometimes.
I wonder how many hundred times I played Zbot city before I got it..it was a record I am sure. Oh the triumphant feeling when you make it thru the exit!
Great fun, nice job!

Hi Patrick,
I've only just got around to playing this level as I'm going through all of the custom levels that I have yet to play alphabetically
This is a very good puzzle and it took me some thinking time to solve it - and it was so easy in the end
Anyway, did James ever join this Forum under another name

Hi ThePreciousOne,
OK - will help if I can explain it
Like me, you probably :-
Got the bonus coins - thats fine.
Took Loof down blue transporter (or Stinky down red) and got one side of the UFO's all blown up
- WRONG
Let's assume you take Loof down blue - the UFO's will start to get blown-up BUT leave 1 UFO on this side still moving back and forth.
Take Loof back to starting point.
Take Stinky down red transporter - the 1 remaining UFO will hopefully destroy all of the UFO's on the other side
(This may take a couple of attempts)
Now by re-using the yellow and green transporters you can manouver the chompers to get the 2 coins in the cages.
As you only have 1 UFO to worry about you can use the 2 central coins as protection.
As it passes grab 1 coin and go upto exit with Loof.
Repeat process with Stinky using second coin.
I did not have to kill any of the chompers to complete the level.
You may find it helps to move one of the reflectors to get the chompers into the correct position to get to the coins in the cages - if you do ONLY do it on 1 reflector and make sure that whoever they would chase you take accross LAST and into the exit FIRST.
Hope this is sort of clear
Good Luck,
Malcdelsol

I am so happy that this terrific puzzle was brought back to the top again.
I tried and tried to complete it and never could............ until today!
The key to solving it was leaving 1 UFO. Getting the chompers into the correct position to grab the coins is not hard.
Thanks for bringing this up again, and for the solution, Malc.
WHOOO WHOOO I did it!

I've tried that with the UFOs but I always end up with two on one side and one on the other, and the one always misses the two! I can get all the coins in the cages no trouble, it's just the UFOs that are defeating me.
If I get the two UFOs to destroy the one on the other side I could probably dodge them using the coins for cover. I'll give it a try

Hi popo,
Yes, I also had the UFO's missing each other a few times
Try changing the timing of taking Loof down the blue transporter a little.
It's just a matter then of waiting a while - sometimes they would miss for several passings before getting down to 1 UFO on each side and then eventually only 1 UFO altogether.
You''ll DO it

Malc, thanks for the hints.
Thank you for the tips above, Malc. They helped me really enjoy completing this very challenging and entertaining puzzle

Me too, I didn't kill any of the chompers or move the prisms, Just kilt off all but one of the UFOs, I like this style of puzzle, I should make more of these, Reminds me of when I first started playing wonderland.Amnon wrote:I have made it without opening the cages: Have not touched the prisms at all.
