wonderland fan game?

Post by Caton » Tue Jun 28, 2016 8:40 am

Am I allowed to make a game that is similar to wonderland? and publish it?
This would be using my own models, gfx, sfx, voices, levels, code, textures, story, data, design, ect

Not too sure, but I think it's fine if you don't use any of the level editors to make it.

It would be a very good idea to give this thread a better title, for example, "Wonderland Fan Games?"
Check the link in my signature: "Wonderland Adventures for Game Boy". You'll find the first 10 or so posts are relevant to you.
Tyteen, a moderator on the forum, linked me to this post showing MS replying to a question about fan games: http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=97826#97826

I believe this summary should cover everything as well:
- Don't publish the game off the forums or a Wonderland fan site
- Try to keep the spirit of the original (Stinky and Loof killing zombies is not okay)
- Don't use official/copyrighted graphics/sound/etc
- Put on the title screen that it is a fan game

I'm pretty excited to see what you come up with!

Caton, why do you keep doing this? Why do you start an interesting topic, and then remove posts?
I don't see why or how this benefits anyone.
