Adventure #47: The Golden Toothbrush: Part 6

Post by MyNameIsKooky » Mon Apr 23, 2012 7:17 am

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5

Round 6 of tennis with Emerald141.

This adventures requires the Rainbow Arrows textures.

I'm finally back to making adventures after a 3-month hiatus. I'll make sure not to take another hiatus unless I absolutely have to! It saddens me when the Custom Adventures area gets quiet.

I was also hoping not to end up delaying a tennis on my end, but laziness gets the better of all of us... :?

PS: Master Wonder Mage, if you still exist, could you finally finish up The Mysterious Duck: Part 16? I miss playing tennis with you already.

I'm going to reveiw using MWM critique sheet:

STORY (13/20)
It's hard when playing a tennis match. Most of the tennis storylines are just one strange encounter followed by another, with not much holding it together. Here are some ideas:
You find the golden toothbrush, but someone steals it.
You find another stinker who tells you that the golden toothbrush can destroy all Wonderland!
You get teleported to the toothbrush kingdom and meet the King, who forbids you to go near the golden toothbrush (you need to find out why).
These are bad examples, but try to create something that will last a long time!

SCENERY (18/20)
Nothing bad, nothing amazing.

ACTION GAMEPLAY (14/20)
The pop puzzle at the start would get 2/4, it was annoying and not very puzzly or fun.
The FOR THE VOID thwart would get 3/4, for a funny and sudden death trap, but easy to avoid.
The invisible chomper would get 4/4 loved it!
The fireflower trap earns 3/4, a simple layout but a very clever trap!
The boss would get 2/4. It was easy and boring but (again!) a sudden surprise!

PUZZLE GAMEPLAY (16/20)
The chomper on the button island would get 8/10, it was an easy puzzle but the upper gates took some thinking!
The chomper/gem puzzle also got 8/10, for a very strange glitch!

GLITCH-FREE (20/20)
Nothing unsolvable and nowhere to get stuck.

OVERALL (81/100)
A good adventure!

Speaking of three-month delays, this is the first adventure I played since March! :P Overall, a good, solid adventure with interesting puzzles. :)
Insert stupid jokes here.
