Days Of Cosmic Encounters 18

Heechee Heaven is a solar system with nine planets. Hm, seems to be familiar.
But did you know that one of them is THE PLANET OF THE Z-BOTS? :wink:

(PS: This is the traditional 'monster level' of my series, and it's very long.

Working on it Chip, and making some progress.
Like you say, it's a very large level.
Good to be able to practise bits of it separately.

Here are a few hints for every planet:
PLANET OF THE CHOMPERS:
1. Step on the yellow timer and quickly (befor it runs out) go U and R to lure the chomp onto the yellow button.
2. wait until the yellow gate closes. If you steer L now, the gate will stay open.
3. Step on the red timer and wait until the red gate closes again to lock in the chomp.
4. Get the left coin, then repeat the trick in reversed order to get the right coin and to open the way to the east.


PLANET OF THE KABOOM!S:
Wait for the right moments to steer the raft with the following sequence:
U - R - U AND L - U - R - U AND D


PLANET OF THE COILYS:
1. Jump D,D and L. Push the two leftmost boxes over the ice and the tramps to the island.
2. Use the two leftmost tramps to enter the island. (Jump U and R or D and R.)
3. Push the boxes U and D into the water. Using these bridges you can bring the central boxes in place.


PLANET OF THE SPIRITS:
1. Use the right box to lock in the rightmost spirit in the top right corner. Don't move the box again.
2. Steer to the left box and push it L when the leftmost spirit is above it. Thanks for the coins, little spirit!


PLANET OF THE GHOSTS:
1. You can destroy the left keg using the boulders.
2. You can destroy the right keg using the boulders.
3. But you have to destroy both kegs.
4. Hm...


PLANET OF THE CANNONS:
1. You have to push an obstacle into the top left and the top right water tile to get the coins.
2. Use a cannon for one side and a reflector for the other side.
3. Wow! Got the coins and still a lot of stuff around.
4. Hm...


PLANET OF THE Z-BOTS:
Just a question of quick moves and timing.

THE TWO BONUS PLANETS:
Don't try to solve the planets one by one. Try to see them as a system.

This was Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! :D :D :D
And did I mention this was amazing! 8)

I was overwhelmed by the sheer size and structure of creativity.
So I had to to play them separately.
And I'm still hoping Patrick will add a save feature someday...
Do you hear me Patrick? :P
The most difficult puzzle for me was the room with the four ghosts.
I was finally able to use both boulders to smash the two barrels after I started thinking outside the box. :wink:
On the room with the Coilies, I now have two boxes left over. :shock:
And even though I made it to the exit, I'm still baffled by the two bonus rooms.
Now I'm curious which part Amnon created.

Hmm... :?

EDIT: Finally figured out the two bonus rooms. Excellent!
Just played the complete level and got my gold star. 8)

Now I'm curious which part Amnon created.
The water-hole at the top of the cannon-world, with the two bonus coins.

I did it! I did it!

It's taken me days and days to work out each bit. In the end I had to always do the cannon/ghost bit first because there's an element of chance involved to get Amnon's bonus coins and I didn't want to keep having to do a huge amount of work only to be wiped out.

What caused me the most problems was getting the bonus coins behind the white gates. Compared to that, the bonus areas at the end were relatively easy.

There shouldn't be an element of chance - at least there is a way I get them every time.

I was not using any ghosts - only getting rid of them.

I looked again and found another way with the generator so the risk was removed! 8)

Thanks for the videos Chip. 8)

You did the part with the white button in such a simple way, and even had 2 boxes left over! I used every box and my solution was much more complicated.

Also the part with the ghosts and cannon I did differently. Your solution was much more foolproof. However, this fool did manage to muddle through somehow! :D
