Open the blast doors

Post by Alfie63 » Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:56 am

I am having trouble figuring out how to move across the waters in the centre more than twice. I reckon I am getting the order of things wrong here somehow.

Also, I have no idea how the chomper and the glove charge-ups are to be used at the start either (if at all).

A small hint or two would be much appreciated.

Thanks all.

Don't bother with chomper and chargers at the beginning, and you only ever have to cross the pool in the center once. (To get to the rainbow teleporter.)

I have just figured that out. I spent about two hours trying to get through before I realised that if I smashed into a chomper at the start of his run I could retain yellow charge, hit the light blue opener and get the gems.

Funny how as soon as one posts a question the answers come.

My big problem now is the timer pads (especially the green). Another tip would be most welcome. :)

(timer pads near the end)

There's a way to move faster than you have ever thought possible... in a blink of an eye, or shall I say, several of them.

Yep I see that, but there are only nine shots available. It takes all nine to get to the green timer and then I am stuck. What am I missing here?

See if you can find a way to smuggle a Floing bubble into the room with the Blink charger. ;)

Doh! Should have seen that myself. Thanks.

I am much closer now, it seems to be a matter of timing and placement - get to the green, back to the charge, over to the other three timers and get blasted up and out. I have tried about 30 times so far but just can't quite manage the timing.

Please let me know if I am on the wrong track.

I must say, while it seems simple enough, I have found this one in the (say) three hardest levels so far.

It might be possible to do it your way if you're insanely fast, but it's easier to store several blinks in the flo bubble. That way you can press all the timer buttons in a quick blink-sequence.

I just managed to get through "insanely fast" by placing itty bitty pieces of colored tape on my screen to direct my curser to the exact spot I needed to be next.

Yay me - I never do things the easy way.

Thanks for the help.

I always did it the insanely fast way. I had never thought of putting several Blinks in a Floing bubble!

I still need some help on this one. I am going into the room with blink first and then into the room with floing. After I have opened the gates and gotten the coin and all the gems I am leaving via the rainbow teleporter. How do I get back to the blink room and how do I save a floing since to enter the rainbow teleporter I need to step on the brr.

Any help is much appreciated!!

From the room with the bridges, shoot a Floing bubble down through the corridor and into the Blink room.

Thanks. Like so many I figured it out as soon as I posted. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get back to the blink. The orange tube is going in the wrong direction since I turned it to get out the first time. Hopefully I'll solve this right after I post too but I'm definitely open to hints :D

I actually put my floing between the one zapbot and the exit gate...

however, I think I finnished the level differantly than to what I was supposed to.

I could see potential from that to the extent of having one pow and one brr left over, too.

This is "Open the Blast Doors" but you're talking about "Escape!", don't confuse the two or you'll confuse others.

Oh! Right!
Yeap, in that case...
I put the floing bubble in the blink room. :D

Thank you whoever made this fabulous video solution:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1xgv_Us0mk

Even with this it took me quite a few tries to do the last bit.
Excellent! :D :D

It can be done even easier if you place SEVERAL blink spells in the floing bubble. That way, when the floing disappears, the game automatically swooshes you across all the buttons and you just walk to the exit.

Yes Muzo. Thanks to your suggestion which I'd read earlier, I used the triple-blink-in-a-bubble-trick. Brilliant! :D

No matter what I do I can never get the green gate to stay open. I've watched the video several times and did what they did and tried several variations, but the green gate is always closed when I go through. Help! Very frustrated!

Be fast. Use different routes and see which ones are getting you the closest there, and stick with those routes. (Or similar ones.)

Good luck! :D
