Well, here I am, with a bit of a conceptual adventure.

I'd like your opinions on the part with Flash.
To some people, it's probably a Flash bug.
To me...
it's when something gets lost in the future.

So, please, let me know if you think that's legitimate.
Don't worry about the part before the Flash...
that's just mean.

I hope you enjoy! :D

P.S. I moved it from the legacy version.

Oh, and here is my video solution!

It's basically ghost spam anyway.

Well, the first part kind of is.

I will be uploading a video solution, though, on account of that if you know how the ghosts work, there are two strategies to combating that.

Though, the ghost guarding the indigo key was kind of mean...

Have any of you actually managed to get past the first part, and get to the flash?
Because, that's the part I really want to know for legitimacy reasons; the rest was just gravy.
Unfortunately, in this case, I slapped a bunch of ice cream(note the pun) on top of gravy, so...
not exactly the best adventure I have come out with, no?

I'm stuck on the second part. I am just a few Flashes short of getting rid of the Wraiths. :(

That's where the "Lost in Time" event comes into play.

Try and thing of what that could mean.

I undestand how to do the "Lost in Time" part but it's ridiculous and annoying. Is there any other way of doing the same thing in a non-annoying way? Maybe with a sunk turtle or something else like that?

The first part was savegame-requiring but freezing the ghosts is at least more fun than precariously dealing with a ton of ghosts in the second area. I did figure out the "trick" (and I'd consider it a glitch, but that's OK in custom adventures), but after that, it's really just ghost spam.

I think there was a non-ghost way to do something similar with a sunk turtle. That would make for a more tolerable way to use the "Lost in Time" trick.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.

Well, there's that...

but, then, there's something else, too. :D

It may seem like ghost spam(which it is), but, it's probably the easiest part of the whole level(Which is all so ghost spam).

P.S. I noticed that in my last post, I typed "Thing" instead of "Think". Oops

why must you make your levels so evil
Jutomi wrote:...but, then, there's something else, too. :D
What do you mean :o

Anyways, I figured out what the glitch was. What did you put on your 1,1 tile? I'm curious.
Unless it's a bug of the engine itself?

It's a bug of the engine itself. I figured it out but then doing it with all the ghosts sequentially in the second part was just so annoying and tedious. I think I'm the only freak that (mostly) likes the first part, with save/loads and all. The action challenge is quite nice if you freeze the ghosts.

You're not a freak, Muzozavr!
My goodness, it's just that you care more for the icy action than the flash, that's nothing to worry about.

I've managed to get the first part over with and it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. It was a little annoying though.

I have no idea what the trick needed for the second section is.

I figured out the trick but then I just didn't bother doing it with all ghosts. I like the idea, but the second part has all the tediousness of the first with none of the adrenaline. I really like flash magic itself, but the second part just doesn't use it very well, IMO.
MyNameIsKooky wrote:I have no idea what the trick needed for the second section is.
After you flash an object, there's a way to "de-link" your flash without re-flashing the object back. Then you can recharge flash as many times as you want.

Actually, when I recorded it for a video solution(which is probably not really necessary for a more actiony level, but oh well), I didn't really mind that part. :|

Though, of course, I didn't mind Sunken Cemitary too much on account of that it was more of a leisure walking around on conveyorbelts.
I think, however, this is because my levels from the old JA:HOTSP got about 5x as tedious.

After completely ignoring common sense for several minutes, I finally managed to figure out the trick. It wasn't as hard to pull off as I thought it would be. The second part was definitely easier than the first part, that's for sure. Nice find! :)

I'd say it was probably closer to Muzozavr's find; I just wanted to make sure the idea would be legitimate in a hub.

This in a hub? I'm not sure if that would go down very well. The only reason I managed to figure out this trick at all was because you explicitly said there was one. :P

You could potentially make a glitch-hub with all kinds of unfairness. Other than that, no, this probably shouldn't be a "required" solution in a hub level.

All right, then! :D
And, I didn't mean this level in the hub, but just a concept similar to this.

Though I do thank you for your opinions. :D

Unless I did something wrong, the action part was tedious because the last ghost kept flickering in and out and it was really hard for me to freeze it so that I could open the gate. Was I supposed to use another method?
For the second part, I'm not trying to be pompous or anything, but I didn't find it tedious at all. I think what you're missing is this:
The trick is to re-flash a ghost onto an inactive ghost. I assume from my observations that the original ghost remains and the re-flashed ghost is stuck at (1,1). I'm not sure. Anyways, it's possible to perform that trick indefinitely. After re-flashing the second ghost onto an inactive ghost, don't activate the ghost. Instead flash a third ghost and re-flash it at the same spot. The ghost count on that tile still remains as 1. That way, you have to deal with less ghosts when you approach the Wraiths.
Again, I'm not trying to show off, just thought I'd share this interesting trick. I realise that I may have sounded pompous during several of my previous posts, though, and I apologise if I may have offended anyone.
