Well, at least I always enjoy playing his levels, and write walktrough's for them.

I'm also curious about this, but if Muzozavr wants to use that trick in his next level, I'll have a bit patience.

Don't worry; although we might have found another trick, I wouldn't have been able to finish this level all by myself, without your hint. I think this is one of the most interesting levels I've ever played! It's a kind of magic. :shock: 8)

I made a mistake because I thought that Mark said: "The level is never posted before" and Sammy said that it was posted before (although without clear evidence :roll: ) thus, suggesting that what (I thought that) Mark said, was not true. (which made me somewhat irritated ...

I did not count the seconds, so probably it took a few minutes, but I got it in my first try. (so it's easier then a chessboard with 5 or 8 queens )

I've also been able to cover all squares, except for one, so I'm slowly starting to believe that it's possible.

But since it's all trial and error, you may go ahead and post your solution.

OK, I've found a solution, if it's about all empty squares:

But do you have a solution for ALL squares? (so that each queen is protected by another one?)

If I calculated correct, there are 64! / (64-5)! possible combinations to put 5 different pieces on the board. Since the 5 pieces are the same, it can be divided by 5! which makes:

64! / ((64-5)! * 5!)

Since you can rotate the board 4 times, and also mirror it, I think that number can be divided ...
