I never used firefox, so I don't know what's the problem then.
Basically, URLs use / rather than \ as the path separator. (This is due to their origins in UNIX-like systems.)
URLs are not supposed to contain \ at all - unless it is encoded as %5C, in which case on most servers it will be treated ...

In these cases, the \ just needs to be replaced with a / in the link. Meanwhile, when you get the error, you can change it yourself in the address bar of your browser.
