Re: windows 11

Do the games always crash at a certain spot, or is it just completely random? If it's consistent, then there may be a way to correct it. Does your computer have any antivirus software running on it? If so, you may need to exclude the game installation directories from being scanned. In my case, Malw...

Re: This site cannot be reached?

Sorry to bump, but has anyone been having any issues lately?
I've been getting random MySQL errors (2002 connection refused and 2006 server has gone away) and slow loading.
Seems to have started within the past few days. :?:

On top of this, there's another issue that was plaguing both of my computers, and even as far as I remember, The borders of a chunk blinking.
This issue seems very similar to Z-Fighting.

Hello, welcome to the forum! :stinkyhappy: The official Return to Wonderland Editor Manual can be found here: https://midnightsynergy.com/returntowonderland/editormanual/ The 3D effect is applied by placing a single "3D" tile in a level. Very strange. :? Try the following: - Make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. - Make sure you are using Windows 7 or later, and have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later installed. - Temporarily disable any antivirus software. - Right-click and run the game (WonderlandPlus.exe, not the La...

Re: WonderlandPlus.NET: A Classic Trilogy C# Remake

Tried that and it still crashes, which is strange. Do the levels work for you? Things I've learned: 1) I tried launching the Void levels in the original game and it says "Memory Access Violation." It does this for an old or a fresh install. 2) I tried making a quick custom level with the "Warp" bac...

Re: WonderlandPlus.NET: A Classic Trilogy C# Remake

Yeah, there's a folder called "snowfloorm". It has model1.3ds + an image and model3.3ds + an image. Is there supposed to be a model2? I have those files as well, and as far as I know there is no model2. As for the console log, it looks fine to me but I'm not a developer for WonderlandPlus.NET so I ...

Re: WonderlandPlus.NET: A Classic Trilogy C# Remake

I hope this is the right place to bring this up, but when using WP.NET to play, a few issues happen for me. 1) The Void levels (and Hide n Seek for some reason) in WSW will crash the game when trying to play them. 2) My custom levels will not show up. Any help is appreciated! :stinkyhappy: 1. Does ...

I've noticed that some forum users have been using Discord's CDN as a way of hosting files and images. I don't think you need to force vSync on, the game always runs with vSync on though. It worked for me without turning it on. I ran some tests to try and figure out what's going on. Hopefully this info will be of use to you. Fullscreen using 1680x1050 Monitor: Force vSync on: Game drops a frame or t...

Re: WonderlandPlus.NET: A Classic Trilogy C# Remake

Suggestion: Use dgVoodoo2 to run W+ as for some reason W+ lags in some levels when run on native DX7. Installing dgVoodoo2 is easy: download from here , extract and copy DDraw.dll and D3DImm.dll from MS/x86 folder and paste them into your W+ folder. This will wrap all DX7 calls into DX11 and should...

For now, I'd like to contribute the following 2 things to this conversation: 1. As far as animations go, I mentioned before in a forum post during mobile testing that it looks like Bisquick has found a way to import the original game animations into Unity. This was done for Krabby Quest though, but ...

yo hey jdl do you want me to code these into my openwa merge If you want to, sure! New Model - One-Ways

While this may not be a "true" One-Way, it's pretty close! I basically just took a Cottage Door, slapped a different model onto it, and found an interesting object setup. - HOW TO USE - To set it up, adjust the One-Way's Color value to whatever you want, and then put some InvColour Round butto...

Re: WA Editor Updates, Ideas & Suggestion Thread

At this moment in time, it looks like strikethrough'd and underlined text will either have to be coded in somehow (drawing rectangles?) or the code for font character mapping will have to be altered in order to use different bitmaps. I tried doing a strikethrough bitmap, but there's always a small g...

im sorry jdl i tried but i couldnt for my life make the italic font, OpenWA code is apparently more confusing than WA3 code because its been refactored and its twice as huge, i havent adapted to iit yet That's alright. :) I wonder if it's even possible code-wise to make the default font look italic...

I noticed that dialogs haven't really been touched since the game went open-sourced. Just thought I'd throw in my two-cents for some possible new features: Italic, Underline, and Strikethrough text! Re: New Object for OpenWA: Vehicles

You'll probably need to do what Patrick did for Color Block Gates - put 2 separate textures within the same image and then map them to the faces of the model. I'm not sure if he did this within the code itself or if he used UV mapping in the model file.

Very neat idea! It's like an always-moving Pushbot that doesn't rotate when hitting something. Also I'm not sure if you're wanting an actual 3D model or a textu...

Re: WA Editor Updates, Ideas & Suggestion Thread

New Idea: See attached picture. I'm not sure what this effect is called, but Super Mario Odyssey uses it when the player is hidden behind walls/objects. I think this would be a great idea for WA, at least on paper. I'm not sure if such an effect is even possible in Blitz(Sharp)3D. I know that someti...

Re: Steam Release?

I agree as well. The mobile version is great, but when it comes to the PC platform, WonderlandPlus.NET would be the best choice for a more up-to-date release. It uses BlitzSharp3D, which (as far as I know) is literally Blitz3D ported to a different programming language.

Steam Release?

I found this on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2135 ... onderland/
It's probably legitimate, but does anyone know for sure? It releases in 13 days, but I haven't noticed anything being announced (unless it was supposed to be a surprise, in which case, oops  ).
