All Wonderland

Post by Peggy Clarke » Mon Sep 17, 2007 8:10 am

Is there anyone like me I wonder? I find these levels hard, I have to do each one of them dozens of times before I complete one. Am I on my own or do you all experience this? I have to look at the hints to move forward, which I suppose I should'nt do so readily. I get a bit frustrated at times, but still enjoy the challenge.

Well Peggy, welcome to the Club for sure! :D
Apart from Wonderlandlover, Kiki, Amnon and some obscure Canadian we ALL 'suffer' from this ailment. The point is that if you could solve all levels in one or two tries, it wouldn't be much fun. On the other hand, if you're just staring at a puzzle and keep staring at it with no clue in sight, it might be time to
A) Think differently
B) Look for hints on the forum
C) Try another level
D) To be filled in on a future date...

The most important is to HAVE FUN solving pzzls!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Totally true, Mahaloof.
some obscure Canadian
And who is he?
I also think that Bearsland should be included in the list of those who do NOT have problems with those levels.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

All Wonderland

Thanks, I just need some more patience, and I am pleased I am not the only one, that makes me feel better, I thought I must be a dim wit. I must admit that some games are so boring, tedious and repetative, Wonderland does not fall into that catagory. I purchased Cradle of Rome the other day, and within a few days got so bored with it, no challenge at all, same old match 3 game. it was then when I found Wonderland.

Cradle of Rome?? Out!! Out with it!

As to you being a dim wit: it might be a tad too early for us Wonderlanders to decide....... Just kidding!!! :D :D :D We háve decided!

The obscure Canadian? All I'm willing to say is his name begins and ends with a 'B'. I call him obscure because of his Dutch heritage..... :D  8)

It ryhmns (sus spelling!) with "lobster" Muzzo!

Peggy - some of us have been playing these levels for many years and we still struggle with them! That is the beauty of this game - never ending torture!

Ah, do you mean bob roest?
Unfortunately, my skills took a wrong turn when browsing membership. Stupid me, perceiving "bob roest" as one word. I should have...

I agree with you about slinging Cradle of Rome out. I have so many games I have bought all of them taking a back seat. In future I will stick to Wonderland, why buy anything else. I won't from now on. Have to buy WSW later. In for a penny in for a pound as the saying goes here in the UK.

I will certainly be more inclined to struggle with them before I seek the hints.

I must one day try out the Editor, when I know what I am doing.

Well I have tried WSW playing with fire at least 50 times and I keep getting blown up moving the reflectors, makes me jump each time, which I find amusing, you would think I was used to it by now. For the number of tries I bet it is a record!!!! Still I will not let it beat me.

Peggy, I know this is a very 'late' post on your subject, but I laughed when you said...

LOL I jump a mile high and my heart leaps out of my chest!!!!! I know what's going to happen (usually) and it STILL scares me horribly. That's so funny. I struggle with MOST levels. There are very few I can do without help or hints. I (like a lot of you) don't have tons of free time to sit and stare at one level until I "get it" so I save them for a rainy day or just give up all together. There are some MASTER LEVEL MAKERS in this group. (no, I will never be one of them, lol)

I know what you mean Dizzy. There are not that many I can do either. My favourite is Wonderland Adventures but even then I have to go to the hints. I swear each time I get burnt, only to find I do it again and again.

I have to agree with the rest of the crazies, uh er I mean members. RTW is a great brain break for me from the real world but I too have little patience. I've come to only do certain members levels, just because I can do them without wanting to bash my keyboard to smithereens!

Some levels are just too brainy for my poor lil mind and I can't do them. They are just too brilliant for my brain. Not to say that the levels that I do do are for idiots or made by idiots NO NO NO. I have found that some of us work levels out in different ways and that there are many ways to look at things. Some members can look at these puzzles and do them almost without a hitch.

I have found that if I can "see" what I need to do and sort of "see" a path to it I work it and work it until I finally come for help or solve it. Other's if I can't even "see" what I need to do I give up  They sit in my custom level folder forever and once in awhile if I'm on a good roll of solving I go in and try again.

The great thing is that every level maker here is willing to help out with either a hint or total spoiler to solve what is makin' ya nutso! This game, because of the forum members, here is the bestest! Of the many technical and game forums that I am on this is the utmost best group of people around! I mean that sincerely, all kidding aside this is truly a Wonderful place.

Ok enough of that mushy stuff. The best is to just ask. If you are shy about asking on the forum itself I'm sure you can PM any member who has created or solved the levels you are having problems with and they will be happy to help. Myself included in that....although I'm usually NEVER the first to solve anything hehehe
