Does everyone have editor and game running (and possibly IE) at the same time? Or has someone gotten a crash just from playing the game, nothing else running?

I do not think this shud be where it is, but I did get a crash by:
just from playing the game, nothing else running.
Same with the editor. Nothing else. When I get crashes, it happens as such:

1.go to pause select "Select New Level"

2.Total lock up

3.Screen gets darker very, very slowly.

4.Everything huge, MAV huge.

5.Click OK
and then
6.Total shut-down.

I tried with original, this happened. Same with 2.04. Again with 2.03. And 2.05. Do u have a current V. 2.06?

Midnight Synergy wrote:Still searching. Detected a small "memory leak" (don't worry, your computer isn't leaking fluid or anything ;) ), which might be the cause - not sure it is since it turns out the original wonderland had the same leak, and obviously no problems.

For people comfortable unziping and renaming files:
Here's a test executable for those of you having crashes. If you wish you can rename wdlgame.exe into wdlgamebackup.exe and then rename the attached wdltest.exe to wdlgame.exe (that way you'll run the test version from the desktop shortcut). It's the same game (with the leak) except during levels a list of video memory properties etc are displayed. If you do get another crash using this version, please post what the stats were when it died. That will help me determine if the leak is even the cause.
Original crash happened to me!

Me too!! Me too! Hang-ups with Wonderland v1.15

Post by whitekat » Wed Oct 20, 2004 6:10 am

Hi,

I am not running RTW, just 'regular' Wonderland and have slowly been developing problems... the video has started to become 'jerky' at times (getting progressively worse the longer we play), and then all of a sudden it will lock and my computer will actually restart.

I then get a critical error message that says something about a driver having difficulty, but has been unable to tell me which driver it is that is having troubles. I am assuming it is my video driver.

I also have this message in my Event Viewer:

Hanging application wdlgame.exe, version 0.0.0.0, hang module wdlgame.exe, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x000661ea.

I am running Windows XP
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics controller
display mode: 1024 x 768 32 bit 85 Hz
DirectX: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

I am wondering if my video card is fried or if somehow my video drivers are becoming corrupt...

Hi Whitekat,

Try changing the display to 800x600, maybe that's where the problem lies.

Hope this helps.
