I remember I saw somewhere in this board that the official 2.06 RTWD Update would have a change in the custom models/house system. I have it and it seems practically the same. Am I missing something?

Patrick said he was still working on that one.
We will have to be patient K, might get a nice Christmas present from him.
Hint, hint.

I'm not really sure if it's still worth doing. It seems to me for most people, the biggest impendiment to using advanced level's custom content has more to do with the hasslesome process of unzipping stuff. The changes that were proposed won't make much of a difference, especially since generally nowadays many custom contents are level-specific, so you will still likely have to go through the unzipping for each advanced level, except the few that only uses old stuff.

Actually, I said I was "still sitting on the fence on that one."
At this point I don't think this will be implemented very soon, if at all. The change would only make the sorting of zip files easier, but most of you have adopted the method of attaching all required models in a zip along with the level. This works pretty well and won't be much improved by the other system. My other two issues with changing the system was that (a) we would have a further bifurcation of levels from different versions (e.g. LV5 and LV6, along with LEV) and (b) some of the nifty tricks you folks figured out (such as changing the background or other textures) wouldn't work so well with the new version. All in all, not much advantage for a lot of hassle for everyone - which I don't think is a great proposal.

I think that I am glad it won't be changed cos I've got used to doing it the old way, and as time goes on I'm sure everyone else will too.

I think the old way seems good, but It would be really neat to have a change. Maybe this new feature could be switched on/off (that way, some users would still do it in the old way and the others could switch it on and work with the new feature)
Sounds good?
