a Wonderland Dream...

Post by rekcer » Sun Sep 08, 2013 7:09 pm

So last night I had a bizarre dream about Wonderland. I had dreamed that I was playing an expansion to the original Wonderland release.

It was full of levels that were unable to be completed and the levels were full of holes that didn't have sky or forest or anything, just black. It would mostly use the "Castle" texture with the exception of one or two levels with the "Purple" texture.

Along with that, there was no music throughout the whole game except for the Options part of the main menu when it would play "Tune2.IT" aka the forest, jungle, and some of the desert places.

It had weird enemies such as a Silver Chomper that would follow you up to a few feet and then just leave, and a weird alien that acted like a ZBot but shot fireballs like a Saucer.

So that is the dream. I'm thinking of making these levels in the RTW editor (and yes they will be unbeatable just like the dream. ;)

Cool, I have had Wonderland dreams before too. Here's one that I remember.

I had a dream about one of the areas in my hub (that has not yet been made yet); it was kind of like an abandon mine shaft.
It had the MOFI Taiga biome texture with no particular music that I remember, but I would assume that the Cave/Woods (5) or Dark/Sewer (4) music would fit it.

The centre was a huge, black chasm with bridges everywhere all over it (which were as a replacement for the mine cart tracks).
There were also a section of gates and stuff in a particular small area (possibly leading to the next section).

I've probably had more Wonderland dreams in the past, I just can't remember them though.
If you bothered to copy and paste this signature, or zoom in, to make it possible to read, then I wasted 5-10 seconds of your life.

Are you sure they were impossible to beat?

Most of what you describe is perfectly possible to make in the RTW editor with the exception of new objects like the silver chompers.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
