WA3 Release Date and New Trailer

Hold on to your socks! Wonderland Adventures: Planet of the Z-Bots is about to take off!

As some of you have correctly speculated, I'm aiming for October 24th, i.e. "Wonderland Day".

I haven't heard anything from him yet, but it would simply be too disappointing if MS doesn't release one, especially given this is probably the final game with the WA engine.

Oh, don't worry, from the PMs I exchanged with Patrick I know we'll get the Editor

I think he also mentioned it in one of the Midnight Post issues. The only question is when will it happen, but don't hurry Patrick, we can wait for the WA3Ed!

(there's also a new ace attorney game coming out then so it got about 40 times better now)

I like this trailer, something about it reminds me of BioShock, of all things (which is good in a way, I loved those games).

It seems to be more complicated than that. Did you notice that after the barrel is gone, the indigo glove symbol has X-ses near the number 8? I think there may be two different actions associated with indigo magic and they alternate...

Nice spot. I mean, if it just ate the barrel, it would just be Pow. There's got to be more uses for this Future Magic[1]...

Not really. If it were Pow, all of those barrels would have exploded, instead of just the first one disappearing.

Also, it's fun to watch you guys try to figure out what F-thing (was the name revealed in a non-leak?) does.

This looks amazing! I noticed:

1: Exploding flowers, shooting fireballs in all 8 directions.
2: INDIGO MAGIC. I think it can "vanish" certain objects, and then make them reappear at a later point in time. That fits in with Muzozavr's idea, and I'm willing to bet he's correct.
3: Lots of robot things.

I'm not quite sure what they do, but some of them probably function like UFOs from the original Wonderland series.

Yes, MS mentioned Flash magic a while ago.

Well, Flash could be similar to Pow as they both make things disappear, but it wouldn't make sense to introduce duplicate magic as I mentioned.

I reckon you cast Flash on an object, causing the object to disappear and the Xs to show, then you cast Flash somewhere else and the object will appear in that spot. (Then the Xs go.)

Also who noticed the POW wizard in the trailer?

I enjoyed the beginning XD. I seriously can't wait for this game. That was an epic trailer.

EDIT: BTW, Did the beginning remind anybody of portal or similar games a little ?

Yeah, I did. I never said that the indigo thing would never un-eat the barrel..*shifty*

EDIT: Just noticed a grey chomper in the scene where the player is walking by a starship. Wonder if it''s special or just colorful.

With all the magic (not in-game magic) we've done with the WA Editor already, I'm sure we'll find a way to manage in the meantime.

I'll also probably look into making a set of conversion .wop files when PoTZ comes out - I get how the MoFI ones work with jafo's tools (albeit I might not be sure how to make certain things work quite as well), and I've already asked for Patrick's go ahead, he said it's alright if I do that.

Either way, we'll manage.

Wow, the trailer looks epic. I hope as a little old lady that I'm agile enough to escape all those deadly traps. I've been spending most of my time in a rocking chair since my last Wonderland escapade. Time to dust off the running shoes and get my brain in top gear.

I'm going to download it as soon as I can! It was fun to be involved in the crowd sourcing, and now I can finally sit back and enjoy it.

The editor will be fun too; Custom Items for the editor was one of the only graphics crowd sources where we didn't get to see each other's submissions. Can't wait to check them out.
