New Level - Rythm Challenge

Post by Midnight Synergy » Mon Dec 15, 2003 5:20 pm

Hi folks,

hope you don't mind us throwing in some custom levels as well. ;)

This is just a quick level based on the idea of using rythm (stepping on and off conveyor-switches) to guide a boulder. Maybe this could be expanded into a whole "Dance Fever" level. :P

Cheers. And just to say that I'm really enjoying your custom levels so far - keep them coming, they're A+ quality!!!

Oh, this level is fun! I definitely like the idea of a Dance Fever level.

... I'm not known for my rythm...

I've seen some of those guys really going for it on the arcade - really good. I think it was part of their weightloss program.. they were rather generous in the size department but talk about sweat & top scores! Obviously been doing it for a while. As for me I'll always remember my 5th or 6th grade dance (this is primary school, not highschool). I use to like the old time dances, you know the sort of thing our grandparents use to do... no? well... this one time I thought I'd give the old disco (modern then) dancing a try - I was pretty much limited to stepping from side to side (pretty sad I know). I thought I was doing OK until a teacher came up to me & told me to either start dancing or get off the dance floor!
Pretty devistating for an 11 year old... just think, I could have gone on to be the next Fred Astair... now, well, my dancing is up there somewhere between Barney the dinosaur & BigBird...

The level though was great! Managed 2840. Another ingenius use of the Wonderland engine! Thanks Admin.

Feel free to grace us with custom levels as often as you want.

Cheers

I finally managed a 2820 on this one, after starting over many, many times. (Guess my rhythm is not quite as good as yours, Robbie! Wanta dance sometime?)

Incidentally, I just looked up world records for the arcade game Dance, Dance Revolution, and one kid set the world record for endurance on this game recently by dancing for 37 1/2 hours straight! Now there's rhythm for ya! (Another kid was disqualified after many hours because he misstepped.)
I've watched these dancers with their little spray bottles of water and mini-fans many times, but I've never had the guts to try it in front of an audience!

Whew! I never thought I'd be able to finish this one. I never claimed to be graceful, but this one showed me that I'll never be a Ginger Rodgers, Great fun!
