A spooky row of spooky houses awaits Stinky, Loof and Peegue

(this is the first time I have used an advanced option so please tell me if
I did it wrong!)

Pixiepogle --

This was indeed a scary level, both the visuals and all the "bad guys." After taking a deep breath and venturing out, I found out they were like a haunted house at an amusement park, scary but not dangerous.

Some feed back on using custom content.

First, if you are using something that has already been posted, the easiest way to include that is to reference that, so that you don't have to create a new zip file, and so that others are alerted that they may not have to download it. You can do this either by sending them to the original posting such as:

If you have not already downloaded Janet Galle's spooky houses you can get them at:

http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1459

Or you can just include the original file (see below)

Second, if you are creating your own zip file, you should make sure that the files in it are named: house1.jpg, house2.jpg, etc. If you can create the zip file so that it automatically creates the correct folder that is helpful (most zip programs do this if you go to the CustomHouses folder and then just add the whole folder such as jgspooky to the zip file. If you cannot do this, it is helpful if you let people know in the instructions where to put the files, e.g.:

download the file, create a folder in your CustomHouses directory called jgspooky and unzip these files into the folder.

Finally you should make sure that your level is set up to go to the directory that contains the files. In this level, it goes to jgspooky, which works fine for anyone that has already downloaded that file in the past. However, if you are creating a new zip file, you should make sure the level points to the new directory.

I apologize, I have probably made this much too complicated and long, please let me know if it is unclear, or perhaps someone else can simplify this.

Anyway, thanks again and keep up the good work. All of us had some confusion about custom content when we first did it, as some of the postings from early July will show. Some of what I included above are some of the conventions we have worked out.

Steve
