New Level (Adv) - The Curse of Tutankhamun XIV

Post by Lillie » Tue Apr 15, 2008 7:24 pm

Here is the last level in the series :( :D

I don't want this to sound like an awards ceremony - but I really, really want to give Poopster a huge THANK YOU for all her wonderful textures and models! She has been an absolute saint putting up with my requests and demands  You are a BRILLIANT custom texture/model maker Poopster 8) She makes all her models from scratch you know - that is such a lot of hard work. This series would have looked rubbish without your input! Wuv woo Poopsie! Image

Also a big thanks to Mizzie Lizzie for her awesome screen she made me - wuv woo too Image

Also a big thanks to Bobbin and Annie for their fab textures that fit in so well with the Egyptian theme :P :P

And lastly to my kind friend Mark who has been the most brilliant and invaluable level tester - he has also contributed to fixing my loopity puzzles and adding little extra stinker puzzles too - you can blame him for a few in this last one! Thanks Mark :P

PLEASE download the new model pack and the newly adapted custom texture made by Mrs Poopster! 8)

It is a bit stinky in parts

Enjoy LILLIE676 - The Curse of Tutankhamun XIV :D

Rescuing the fair lady was quite the challenge! :P

I appreciate the privilege of previewing this wonderful series!!! 8)
Thank you Lillie! :D

This was probably the trickiest little level I have ever seen from you. It took me almost 2 days to figure out the first half of it. I couldn't see the light. I was always 1 button short or a piece of equipment short or a step tile short. Then I sent a PM and what do you know it came to me and I got past that part. The next part took me a few restarts until I finally got my stepping right and then I hit the generator area and well I went as slow as possible just so I didn't have to start again (LOL) and made it home "happily ever after". This was such a unique series and fantastic from beginning to end and the models and textures are so beautiful. Thanks for the journey!!!!!

I spent so long writing out the spoiler Chickie - then saw that you have solved it! Very well done Chickster! :D

I have a spoiler now typed out for the first section - if anyone would like it - please just ask! :D

I apologise if the first part is so difficult   :D

Well done sj38 and thanks for playing! :D

Ace puzzle and a great finish for this series. I'm sad to see it end
I also spent the longest time in the first part but also messed up the metal box puzzle several times :?
Thanks for hours of fun, Lillie :D
And also thanks to Popo and Liz for the art work :D

Sorry Lillie for making you do all that extra work writing out the spoiler, you know how it is when you ask for help and BAM!!!! it comes to you. I have to tell you though I was thinking to myself while I was playing that is was just plain mean     but oh so fun. I am sure my hair will grow back eventually, so no hard feelings.

I would like the spoiler for the first part, Lillie. No sense letting it go to waste. Oh, what sacrifices I make. Sigh.

[Edit] Never mind. Thanks! I think I have it.

Yep that first part is killin' me. I can get stuff covered but can't keep anything on that white timer so I'm sure I'm using sumpin' in the wrong place. If yer still up Sassy can you send that my way too please? Or Anne if you get it can you send it please?

:D :D :D Crikey Lilz, There was some very diabolical misdirection in this one.
Once I figured out my mistake from the get go things started to fall into place much better, I can fly thru the first part now and the second part for that matter, Took quite a few restarts just to get those dangy metal boxes sorted. I really liked the devilish moves needed for the generator and the great team work too, Oh and the end not without its own bit of evilness with that two way, and here I thought I was done with a certain item.

I thought the whole series was absolutely brilliant and put together so artistically with Popo's excellent models and the textures by Liz and Robyn.
Not to forget Marks testing and I'm sure some evil little twist of his own thrown in.
Kudos to all involved.

Thanks for the great fun "Lillie Tuts Little Girlie Floating Down The Nile On A Pile Of Gold Stars In Her Eye Of Ra Ra Shish Coom Ba Ba Baby I'm Hot Lillie"

What a gorgeous ending to a fantastic series Lillie! :D :D

Thanks for the help with the start. I was getting it right up to covering the red button, but after that I kept doing the wrong things.

The second part wasn't too bad for me at all, except Queen Neferqookie kept standing in the wrong place by that generator

Popo's textures and models were absolutely wonderful - and I especially love the Egyptian fans in the exit corridor.

Sorry to see this series end. Thanks for all your hard work creating this entertainment for us.

Well done - for this beautiful and hard level and for the whole series: took me a while to complete - especially the metal blocks at the end, but then...
AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!

   I can't do the red button part at all. My hands aren't quick enough. It's so much harder than the preview I played. With Lilliepoo's permission I'm posting the easy one for anyone who is a slowpoke like me. :(

Wow this was a super ending to this series!!! I was covering the green button too soon and with the wrong thing which is way WRONG! LOL thanks to Mrs. Sassypants I got the right way for the first part.

Then off for an hour or more to get the boxes. DUH so easy now that I figured it out hehehehe That was pretty tricky there ma'am

Again, these levels have been truly amazing and all of you involved have done a super job. Thanks to all of you and special thanks to you Mrs. Sassypants for the amazing journey!

Thanks for stepping in Markus - you are funny :D Not sure if you got a pm or not Shad - but here is the spoiler for the first part for anyone who needs it :D
The white timer has to keep going throughout! Travelate Peegue down and take coins on blue buttons. Push middle boulder down over white timer. Step left or right out of the way. Now push either boulder up and when safe use the travelator to push it left or right - depending on which one you pushed first onto the light/dark blue buttons! Go into room on left and push wood box all the way right over tramp. Now the tricky part, stand on green button and wait until the boulder slides up over the ice tile and QUICKLY slide down and take the coin on the red button, slide back up, run left into the tramp room, down over tramp and around and push the ice block back up onto the red button BEFORE the rolling boulder comes back! You need to be quick!!!

Tramp left and push the wood box around and into the water below the red button. Go into right room and slide right into the wood box. Step up and slide the wood box around and into the water above the white gate. Whilst the green gate is still closed, push the boulder right, up (step out of the way), left and up. Now tramp down and tramp the ice cube up and go through white gate and tramp the ice cube up into small room where wood box was. Now as the rolling boulder leaves the ice on it's way up, quickly push the cube up and back down on the red button BEFORE the boulder comes back down. Now tramp the ice cube onto the green button. Now once the rolling boulder has just passed the ice tile on the way up, quickly push the ice cube down, the boulder left and the ice cube back onto the red BEFORE the rolling boulder returns!

Now you can do the room on the right with the last wood box.
That should help you quite a bit! :D

Poopster - thanks for posting that other level - I changed so much from that original idea! If you follow the spoiler above (and not the other one I sent you which told you to stand on the wrong side  ), your fingers should be quick enough with that fast move if you do it from standing on the green button - even with a second or two to spare :P

I didn't have any problems with the red button...I seemed to get a grasp on the beginning for some reason...but I can't figure out what to do with all those metal boxes as to where they go so I can save the Queen. Help please....

First two metal boxes left into the water where the flame is. Next one all the way left and placed one tile to the left of where you put the first two to act as a stopper for the sphere. Next metal box to be pushed left and back right over tramp to act as a stopper for the sphere. Sphere left round icecurve to stop at metal box and then left and up for the conveyor button NeferQookie is standing on!
Is that enough? Please ask if you need more, although it is bedtime here but I will be around tomorrow :D

Yup that might be enough. I was doing all that except for the one left and over tramp. I was worried about not making it to the right side. But I see now what your a saying. I'm fixing to get off of here, will pick up tomorrow on this one. thanks Lillie...nighty nite.

This has been a very hectic week at our house but I finally have a few hours to relax before 'hectic' returns in overdrive mode.

Needless to say this had to be the first level I had to play and it was truly a gem!

Lots of experimenting with the start and then the metal boxes had me totally confoozled until I realized it didn't need to be a solitary excercise.

Fabulous series Lillie-pad, my thanks to you and your team for creating a most enjoyable, challenging and beautiful set of levels!

After I finally...sigh...finished this one I did the easier one, it was just as fun. I recommend if anyone hasn't ried the easier one to play it, it's totally different except neferqookie's part.

Thanks so much for the help, what a fantastic set of levels. You and your team did a bang up smashing good job...well done.

Youcholdrio youchai!!!!!!

Until I played this level I was thinking the first levels became more and more difficult until about level 10 and from then on they became less difficult, so I thought: The last one should be a present. :D

NO WAY!!!!!

Hours and hours I spent on it and they seemed to me as centuries! No, kidding, I enjoyed it really. But after I finally was able to do the first part I thought to push a few steel boxes and that's it. So not!!!! Allthough I didn't need help from a spoiler or such, I decided to split up the level in the editor to practice the steelfactory-part without doing the first part again and again, because the second part was almost as hard as the first part.

I'd like to say that all the textures and models are very beautiful and they certainly helped to make this serie what it is. Thank you all. :D :D :D :D

But especially thanks to Lilliepants, the creator of these marvellous puzzle serie!!! I'd like to play all your levels but it appears to be that you can create levels faster then I can play them. 8)

I'm afraid the next weeks I'll walk like an Egyptian in my dreams. 8)

Thanks so much Mari-Madonna for seeing the series through :D Glad you got them all done! Thanks also for showing your appreciation of the fab textures and models - they certainly made the whole set of levels come to life! 8)

I see you have posted a level - I have had such a busy week at work and also have been a bit poorly and have only had snippets of time to try and play catch up. I am on a course tomorrow but hope to spend the weekend playing levels and will get around your first endeavour! :D

Thanks again :D

Hello to everyone else - hope you are all well :D
