New level - The Temple of Red

Post by Technos72 » Fri Apr 02, 2010 2:42 am

Alright enough with the gool ol easy levels. Now I start to make HARD ones! Ones that will test your reflexes. How good are them? Can they handle this level? Requires the temple red texture and the remade red shard model. I remade shard texture so that it looks like its from WA. This level is real hard that I can only beat it if there are checkpoints.

Can you make it a file, instead of a zipped one? I'm too lazy to decompress it.

Unless it contains new textures...

Hey Technos

You have a problem with your zip files. I wasn't able to extract the cross model on the Good Friday level, and I'm not able to extract the TempleRed texture here. And there's no model file for the red shard.
This is what I get when I try to extract the zips - No files to extract:

did you try to drag the folders from the zip into the RTW customs folders?

I'm getting the same message as Liz, all of your zip files are either corrupted, invalid or empty. I don't know if the problem is at my end or yours. :?

it worked perfectly when I put files on the computer from zip in two ways.

-drag files and drop into customs folders
-click "extract to" and chose the RTW folder directory

 I'm going on my laptop to see if it works there. Then I shall know what's going on

I normally use the Windows extraction method.
1. Save the zip file to CustomTextures (or whatever).
2. Right click and choose Extract all.
3. Delete /the filename from the end of the extract address.
4. Then click Next and Finish as directed.

When I try this it says No Files to Extract

So I try method 2 which is to double click on the zipfile and drag/drop into the CustomTextures folder. When I do the double click it says File is Corrupted

At last it worked, but I had to unzip the file in both model and texture directories and then delete the model file from the textures and the texture file from the models. It's best to post texture and model files as separate zips.

Anyway, all the effort was worth it because I think the templered texture is really well done, very atmospheric. Good job too with the red shard model. :D :D

Needless to say I can't do the level yet. I get to those trampoline/TP jumps and can't make it anywhere sensible
