Uh, Help?

Post by DEEMAN223344 » Mon Jan 31, 2011 3:10 am

I am having a problem with uploading levels.
The problem is that I can MAKE levels, but they don't actually appear in the Custom Levels folder. Odly enough, they appear in-game.
Bround also apparently has this problem.
How is this possible how how can I fix it?

1. Do you mean, when you have created a new level, it does appear both, in the game and in the editor, but not in Windows Explorer?

2. Do you perhaps have more then one RTW folder, RTW game, and/or RTW editor on your disk?

3. If you download new levels, and put them the CustomLevels folder, do they all appear in the game and the editor? (Do all the levels which are visible in the CustomLevels folder in Windows Explorer, also appear in the game and the editor, and do all the levels visible in game and editor also appear in CustomLevels, except the one you just created?)

4. Did you do a Windows-file-search for the filename of the new created level?

5. Did you check the option in Windows: "Show hidden files".

In that case I must admit that I have no other ideas. It almost seems impossible to me. :?

If this helps, I installed the game from the MS CD.

Go to the place where the level is supposed to be, but not by browsing from this forum, by the start menu (or anything else that works). Then check if it says "Compatibility files" anywhere. If it does, then click on it then the level you made should appear. Then simply move it to the real custom levels folder. Then it will be upload-able.

Sorry if this isn't it. But this is what I have to do every time I make a level.
