New Level - Table Tennis 2

Post by cloudrac3r » Tue Dec 13, 2016 5:41 am

Remember my old Table Tennis level? :D http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27060
Since the Z-Bot's defeat, it has spent a long time practising and now wants a rematch.

This one is a bit different from last time. First of all, Stinky pushes the box in this one instead of using conveyor belts to move it. Second, the Z-Bot has stepped up its game and the ball must now be returned 8 times rather than 5 to kill it. There is no easy mode like there was before.
Finally, the positions that the ball rolls down are RANDOMISED! You get a different game every time! MWAHAHAHA!

Instructions:
Push the box on to the white timer button. The game will start about 5 seconds afterwards.
Feel free to use the SHIFT key if you want to. It helps a lot, so if you're insane like Amnon or Mark you probably don't want to.

Good luck - you'll need it.

Unecessary video solution

Once you complete the level, read this spoiler (DON'T read it before!)

I could only make this with the help of ALT-X, then I had 3 seconds left.

Amnon:
Spoiler wrote:Note that the order is only partially random. The ball will roll through the teleporters in the same sequence, it just starts in a different place each time. I have the sequence memorised (it was easy because I decided the order and created the level) - but as you see in my video, I only use SHIFT at the start to see where it will roll first, then I do not use SHIFT again, I just try to remember where it will roll next.
You could memorise the sequence and then try without Alt-X if you want to complete it without the very useful view Alt-X gives you. I did not use Alt-X at any point while designing, testing or playing the level. I forgot that it existed until now.
Everyone:
I would consider using Alt-X in this level a massive cheat, but do it if you have to. I didn't use Alt-X at any point while designing, testing or playing the level, nor did I consider that it could be used.

OK, now with this spoiler I made it without the ALT-X and with 9 seconds left!

Well done, Amnon!
Well done, Chip!

Any suggestions for what I should change in Table Tennis 3? :D
