Naturally I was stuck in the middle of a huge pink haze at first, but after a few tries I got that sorted out, then I had some trouble with the kaboom!

Did the gold after a few restarts, lots of fun!

There is a symmetrical arrangement for each corner. The easiest way is to follow the numbered cubes. (U = up, D = down, L = left, R = right)

1R, 2D, 3R, 4D, 5R, 6DR

7D, 8L, 9D, 10L, 11D, 12LD

13L, 14U, 15L, 16U, 17L, 18UL

19U, 20R, 21U, 22R, 23U, 24RU
The goop generator is now started

Stand on bridge and push cube up to get bonus coin. Ride transporter right.
The rest is easy. Block left generator exit by putting ice cube on transporter.

Chomper for barrels,
kaboom for exit block.

Just a little nitpick: There's no need to block the generator with an ice cube.

Doing maths:
There is one water square to be covered near the chomper, and two near the kaboom, making it three and requring six sticky cubes.
When you get to that room you have three sticky cubes. You fill the bottom water with it and push one in the two water tiles at the top.
You get three more sticky cubes and it doesn't matter if fourth will be alive -- we can fill the rest of the water!
