New Level: The Last Emperor 2
New Level: The Last Emperor 2
It's february 8th 1917, the day after China's last emperor, Aisin-Gioro Pu Yi, celebrated his 11th birthday.
Seeing how His Majesty enjoyed riding the slides on his birthday, Grand Vizier Rick M. and Enormous Hofmeister Werr H. decided to use the Outer Gardens of the Forbidden City to present His Icyness with a few more fast lanes to play with. Will Pu Yi enjoy these new challenges?

You've outdone yourself with this puzzle, that opening move was totally awesome. I've been working on this stinker since yesterday and I'm almost there but found myself
I have all the gates open except the red one and gathered all the coins but the last one.
I just can't seem to get back down to where I want to go.
Any nudges would be greatly appreciated.

Going to try this one now. Maybe I would stand a better chance if I'd started in 1917.

Monica, one thing I can tell you (SPOILER): the Plasma cube does NOT go on the white button. Secondly, try to get all the coins in the first section before opening the white gate and moving on...
Hope this helps...
Cathy, great job sofar!
BtW, I just arrived in Moscow for a quick holiday and there's talk of a Bolshevik revolution here. I don't think they'll succeed, though....

Yes, I took some liberty, as I know it's not February at all, of course...I think you need a new calendar Loofah

Howdy Loofah! Good to see a level from you.
I'm just popping in to say what a grand adventure you have posted.
I think the opening move is truly brilliant, I am making some good progress and I think I'm ready to move on to the next part, I think!

Get back to ya later sometime in the near or maybe far future.

Right then, Carry on!

While I was trying to find out how Cathy could have gotten that far without opening the red gate, I discovered a semi-loophole, (or half-bummer, as they say in Moscow). It is possible to reach the upper part without even opening the white gate and going to the lower right section with the 5 boulders.
However, you won't be able to finish AND you'll miss the Plasma Pinball..
Just so you know...

The red gate - I already wrote that gate off, even after I got it open I couldn't figure out why I needed it open. I'm still bouncing around in the clouds up there

btw didn't miss the pinball game either, did that first before I went up. Now I need to rethink that red gate

Cathy
OMG I finally found my way out of this brain strainer.
This was a totally awesome level from start to finish and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
Red gate is working properly now
Thank you for this ace puzzler and I hope to see more in the near future.

It's all so embarrassing, I don't know what to say....
After finding a half-bummer and a semi-loophole the Tax Department discovered a Fullblown Mishap, making it possible to bypass the Pinball machine altogether. Grrrrmph!!
Anyway, this is how it was intended and now you can try out both versions for the price of one. Ain't that a bargain??

See version 2A at the top...

Well, my man, you really put one together this time!
I have spent several hours over the last two days trying to work this out and I kept getting through one part and then getting stuck at another! I finally threw out a lifeline to my pal Cutlass Cathy and while she gave me plenty of help the key to everything was as simple as the white button
I won't give the game away but it's always one small detail I've overlooked or screwed up that usually causes me grief!
Excellent work Mahaloof, give me a few days to recuperate before you post another, okay?

No way, don't give Bob any more time!
I really enjoyed this. I meticulously worked my through with lots of trial and error. It was amazing how it all came together. I especially liked the TP area in the upper right.
I did the first version, and then the revised version, and I definitely had used a shortcut. I was using wood boxes to extinguish the flames on the ice before the steel box. After solving the level, I see that it was completely unnecessary.
Thanks!

Will I ever be able to play again?

OK Loofah - I am now stuck!
Help please
I have done all the first part and pushed a couple of wood boxes over the tramps at the top of the section where the metal box is. I daren't follow it![]()
I also have the boulder that was in the white gate rolling over the conveyor timer and got to the ice slide/ice cube thingy and got stuck sliding bath and forth in an eternal loop!
Help please

OK Lilz, please download version 2A and forget the other one.
In broad terms the idea is to get the coins in the first section and then open the white gate. Three wood boxes in total and NO doings whatsoever with the upper part, sofar...
The boulder going over the timer sounds good. But the Plasma Pinball section is meant for a Plasma cube only; it's a remote control puzzle. With the result from that you head back to the first section and then on to the upper part, where it joins the steel box. And then yóu join the party there.
Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!![]()
Doesn't really help me Loofah.
I used the boulder to keep the conveyor going, otherwise I cannot get to use those other boulders in the ice room. I still have the original ice cube and don't know what to do with it. Should I push all those lined up boulders onto the buttons?
I need more help as opposed to cryptic clue please. By pm if you don't want anyone else to see it.
Thanks

OK, Lilliebillie, the PLASMA cube
is supposed to enter the ice area, with all them plasma cubes stuck in them gates. It''s not really pinball, more like an estafette where the cubes activate each other. And yes, all the lined up boulders go on the buttons. Of course, it's a puzzle, so you'll have to study the ice area to see which gate opens when. You'll know when you succeeded when a steel box is your reward. Bring it over to let it join the other steel box up there... Good luck!

Vewy hoppy to raport that fwinally I got this one, or should I say twese two.
I have been playing this one on and off, in between other levels for what...9 days now. I've started to give up so many times and I thought nope, one more try. Well today I manged to get it all right after I kept messing up the upper part. Pu Yi is home free, safe and sound, gone to Bermuda, left on a cruise, said he needed a break from China.
Great levels Mahaloof, that makes 3 of yours I've finished, might have to open that folder back up. Glad you back and happy you make a level.
