New Level (Adv) - Absence of Turkey

Post by Dizzy1 » Sun Nov 16, 2008 4:51 pm

Using my very first texture dizgreen, made for mii (me) by rescuefire Robyn. Thanks and I miss you in this forum. :D :D :D

A little larger than most of my levels, but not difficult at all.

Have fun! :D :D :D :D :D :D 8)

Dizzy133 Absence of Turkey

EDIT: I fixed a "misdirection" or as most of us call it, a "loophole" so you may try it now, if you'd like.

 How long did it take to work those spheres out? :D

I had a few restarts before I got through this and there was some interesting misdirection here and there but eventually I managed to jump to the right spot!

Thanks Diz, great stuff and BTW...no sign reading. :D

:D :D :D Great level Diz! All those spheres rolling and jumping are amazing, especially while they not smashed each other. They remind me to an apeman girl 8) The beginning with the blue spheres took me a few restarts. But I've one question, I'll send you a mail.

Thanks for the fun! :D :D :D

Edit: Forgot to tell, you got me also with the final jump. I jumped upon an absent turkey.. I mean gate. 8)

Let me guess...'What is the purpose of the blue spheres?'...

Edit: No wait... 'What is the purpose of the exit gate?'...

So if you'd like to download it...please do! :D :D

Mario, you saved me again. Thank you for telling me how to fix the loophole. <3 How can I ever repay you, for all the times you've helped me??????

That was the misdirection I was talking about, I thought the tramps/conveyor/slide unit was just for looks. Apparently I was wrong.

   I know! When you said that, I knew I'd missed something, but still didn't know what it was. Then when Mario said it too! :? When he showed me, I was mad at myself for not seeing it and then he asked me what the tramps & ice curves were for, I said, "It's a playground for people who are bored with my level."

But, I think that's a great idea!! We should start calling 'loopholes' a 'misdirection' so the level maker won't be offended.

Wait...then what would we call the intentional 'misdirection'? :?

:D :D :D Played both versions and I'm happy to say I played the left corner part as intended.
I thought the puzzle element there was ace with the cube and sphere/boulder and tramps.
I loved the way all the timer stuff laced around and thru each other.
You put some time into that.
Brilliant work Diz, Carry on! :D :D :D

Another great level, Emmy. Thanks! I, too, thought the upper left was for show. Shows you what I know about level making.

I'm here...........let me check.........brb.......

Ok!
After you jump into the blue TP, push the green sphere down, then right (stand to the left of the boulder to stay out of it's way) and now push cube below the top blue TP. Without taking the top bonus coin, push boulder down over blue TP. Go up to left, top of ice and jump D,U,D. Push sphere right and up, then push it down.
:D

That's the part where I had the cube and the boulder in opposite places and you could do it, but it was too easy to just put the cube below the TP first and not use the tramps at all. That's where Mario came and saved the day. He corrected my 'unintended misdirection'.

Thank you Dizzy. I had left poor Loof in limbo for over an hour now but that was OK cause I made a new texture.

I had found the 'unintended misdirection' in the original but in the second one the tramps confused me.

This was fun, took me several restarts to figure out the blue spheres and I'm sooo glad you had signs for the other spheres and boulder. The timing on them was really neat-o.
Glad you gave us a plenty of boomer room too. Now that tramp to the exit... of course I missed it the first time, what do they call that move..Loof felt like he was in some sort of rocker going back and forth.. a rocking stinker.

Thanks a lot for the fun.

Have you eaten too much turkey, or what?
Don't wanna play a level that you think is difficult

Needed ages to get the upper left corner cleared - after spending aeons with the blue balls
Glad you put some hints in there for the last moves.
This has been a hard earned gold star. Thanks :D
