New Level [super adv]:: Tortured Exits

Post by VirtLands » Fri Mar 05, 2010 8:15 am

Hi fellows,

NEW LEVEL: Tortured Exits

I created this new level,
(which took about a month to dream up. )

uses a new customized model set created by me,
and a new custom texture organized by me.

Have fun, and you can believe me that this level's crazy

Some of the textures were taken from an artist named Sanami276,
and therefore I have named the texture set Sanami.

It'll look really dreadful without the new HalfWall model, so please
remember to download it.

I'll let this sit for a couple of days and see who solves it. :) :!:

Hi Andy

Thanks for posting the link to Sanami's site. Full of treasures! :D :D

This texture is wonderful - such good effects for glass. And I like the half-wall model.

The level is weird and wonderful indeed and it's going to take a while to solve it - especially as it's hex edited so very different things are going on. 8)

This level is indeed a spectacular show of magical craziness...
But: it was very easy. :?

I suspect I may have finished it with a loophole so here's what I did:
1. Get the bonus coin in the fake wall and cross over into the next section.
2. Get the bonus coins out in the open.
3. Get the bonus coins from the bottom sections via the teleporter.
4. Return to the main room.
5. There's an exit gate near the chomper, push the barrel to the tile right above that exit gate. Be careful to not to blow yourself up, do it when the ghost is going away to the left.
6. Immediately press the red button so that the chomper steps out and blows himself up. Go back up yourself to safety.
7. Switch to Loof. Push the bottom ice cube one tile to the right then immediately step down to avoid the ghost. Then go around the ice cube and stay behind it to shield yourself from incoming fire.
8. Switch back to Stinky and push the reflector on the red button. Step away from incoming fire!
9. When the fire passes, switch to Loof. Press the yellow button, then exit the level.
10. With Stinky, go to the bottom and push the barrel to the left so that you can exit. You will die because the ghost isn't killed... but dying AFTER exiting won't count.
If this is the intended solution and you consider it to be too early for a spoiler, I'll remove it as soon as you let me know.

If this is a loophole... then I want to see how hard the level is without it.

The models are brilliant and the texture looks stunning.

And last: LOL at the time. What happens if you take an alarm clock and overflow the three-digit limit?
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Well, I didn't read Muzo's spoiler beforehand, and I managed to complete the level all by myself! How amazing! :D :D

I read what Muzo did, and that is exactly how I did it too, so I suspect that's how to do it.

Wonderful magical goings on, very enjoyable and a great look! 8)

Thanks Andy

They solved "VirtLand10"

Post by VirtLands » Sun Mar 07, 2010 2:28 am

There are some very bright players here,.... :)

I see that Muzozavr, Anndanner, & *Liz Mayhew solved it exactly as planned,
congratulations.

No loopholes in this one.

{ Can't believe it was solved so quick. }

Well,... I mainly made it to show off the new model set I made.
And, finally I got some experience making 3d models.

Glad you liked the "Sanami" website too, it became a great source for
textures.
