New Levels: G1, The Lost Lands-Ch1W6

Post by Jutomi » Wed Oct 23, 2013 4:09 pm

Okey, well, here's the new world for you! :D
Sorry that these are not individualized, but having five in one day's a bit much... so, tomorrow, I'll just upload one level, for POTZ, and the day after... between playing POTZ and just letting uploads rest, I'll probably not upload any Lost Lands levels.
Speaking of which... the order's currently 1,2,4,5,4,3,6 :|
I feel like the HHG2G from Douglas Adams right now...
anyhow, I hope you enjoy!
The Mystery-Alien Workshop Hardium

Solutions:
UFO Me Broken
I think I'll call you Martha
The Space Storage
(The less important part)
Key Is Timing
Escalated Mayhem
(Scauge coins)

Just a hint:

It would be nice if I could determine the order of the levels if the filename was different.

Like instead of MOKO or MOPS or MGOW or something like that, make it JUTOMI6L1 (Jutomi World Six Level One).

Off to play these now.

Tell me about it...
I wish I thought of that sooner. :|
If you want, I could just repost all of these levels with better file names
Or, I could just resave all of the later levels for this instance.
Or, I could just upload them like this. :P
Do please tell me which you'd prefer!
P.S. Sorry about the strange filenames

No; it's alright; you didn't know; I should have told you sooner.

Semicolons!

Anyway, I don't know which one to play first, but I started all of them and they are quite a challenge.

I don't know which one I will get done with first but I'm going to take a break.

And yes, you can keep the current ones like this, but in the future, I suggest that you name them.

Commas!

Don't worry about telling me sooner- I made these all before even joining the forums.
Oh, oh dear.
Well, seriously, if ever comes a time this order gets calamatized, just let me know. :D
Plus, by the end of the third chapter, they actually are a bit more organized... just not by a whole lot

How do you get past the yellow teleporter?

If you mean the teleporter itself... just walk in, you do a spinny thing and pop out on the other side.
If you mean to the way to it... err, just move the chomper some place else until you can actually figure out what to do with him. +Such as getting 250 points*+
Just so you know, I have discovered that you can cross two electric tiles set to 1 and five spike tiles set to 1 in this game... just to tell you what you can do with that box of mine.
Beats me if you knew it or not-I didn't until a world that was removed from the actual story line. :|

I would not recommend using that. It's a neat trick and I have designed several "extreme-timing" levels, but this particular trick is very annoying for the players, especially if used in a "larger" level.

I did the "two 1-electro tiles" cross way back when, but deemed it too annoying for a "normal" level.

I was pretty bombared with "stuff to do" from university, but soon I might have the chance to actually play your levels.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Wealp... to be honest, I have added several of those five-spikey combos...
However, the double electric-tiles thing, I have only used for optional play. I find it rediculous enough trying to cross one of those things. :P
Perhaps I should add some kind of spikes warning just for that, or do you think it's able to be slid?

Oh, wait...
Maybe I should have mentioned that I upload these backwards, so they're actually played from top to bottum rather than bottum to top...
Oops
That's an other plus side to uploading them seperately. Though when I get to chapters with eight levels in them...
Err, I guess I'll upload them in parts, but I could certainly use a second opinion. :P

It seems that you want to get it all over and done with as soon as possible.

I am obliged to complete each and every level that is out and playable, as I have been doing in the last years, and I am quite able at that, but I do have other obligations in life, which suffer as a result of your frequency of issuing these levels.

Please slow down.

Okey, sure :3
I am taking a break tommorrow, four days from now, and probably will divide 7/8/9-level chapters into two days.
Plus, to be fair, I am kind of rushing because I've technically been waiting since last year's Xmas to upload these.
How does uploading one world every other day sound to you?

There are two sides to this controversial topic.

[blunt]You know, Amnon, it isn't necessary to complete EVERY level. Certainly these obligations in life are more important than a computer game. I love Wonderland, and I'm pretty sure you do too. However, you shouldn't let levels interfere with your life. If Jutomi wants to issue out 1000 levels, then so be it. He posts them knowing that people won't play so many levels. Sorry for being so blunt, but you cannot control how many levels he posts.[/blunt]

(To Jutomi): However, Amnon isn't wrong. 8 levels per world and one world per day is absolutely ridiculous. I send out 1 level every 1-5 days and people already consider that too much. Also, given that these levels are quite challenging, one contains 163 coins, and I don't think a few of them are possible, you can submit one level like that every 4 days or so.

In conclusion, I think Amnon is right. You are posting too much. But Amnon, it isn't Jutomi's job as a level-maker to know about your duties. Jutomi just wants to get all of his levels out there for the masses, and you don't have any obligation to do them.

Thank you for reading. The preceding passage(s) contain no/minimal bias. Readers should note that there is not enough information about the specific obligations mentioned by one "Amnon" to further strengthen/weaken his case. Also, these passage(s) are based upon the precedent set in 2012 which states that the quantity of .LV6 files sent on the "Wonderland Discussion Forum" should not exceed one a day or else most people will not download them onto their computer. Have a nice day.

I would like to start out this long post by saying that your last post would be, as I'd put it, "neat."
Well, it's a bit of a strange situation. It's one where you want to let players play in a series without much break, but at the same time, make it easy for them to keep up, plus the matter of opinion to which every single body I know about has many differant infinite of those or so, in edition to my enthusiasm to get every thing out in the open(especially before my computer dies, but I think I overexagdurate at this time of night, and tend to all most believe that it's about to go "kaboom!" just for running slow).
So, my conclusion is to probably upload 3-5 levels a day/other day with alternation on a 1:3 ratio on the per and 2:3 on the other, or some thing like that-err, except for probably "The Dead Castle" and "The Ghost Town" worlds, to which would probably be "4,4,1(plus the credits)" and "2,5" respectfully, at which case with the Dead Castle I'd probably skip an alternation just to make sure every thing gets out together. :P
But, myeah, at the same time, I just woke up from a nap at 12:30 AM, so please don't quote me unless you really just want to be silly.
And, if you disagree... I'll probably have to start some sort of new discussion topic involving "How do you even want these things posted?"
We just can't keep posting under the sixth world, it'd be in front of the tenth by the time every thing is settled! +Jutomi's message-12:41+

I'm stuck on MGOW. There is a flame blocking my path, and I don't see any way to break the boxes or get to the exit or get something to the white button.

So my question is: Did you test this level, is there a hidden secret, is it impossible, or is it just insanely hard?

I have, actually, finnished this level!
It was the second or third last level I actually added in the series, when I fixed up the dialogue, so it's a super-challanged advanced level, all in all. :P
(My solution-highlight at your own risk) Jutomi wrote:I used one UFO to extinguish the flame and the other to break most of the needed-to-be-broken wooden boxes. The third UFO, I left there.
I used the chomper and coin collection to move the UFOs into position.
Plus, there's a hidden wall behind one of the boxes-the one in that room with the flaming enterance to the exits.
I might add that you have to be in the room as the second UFO is coming into it.
This is why I posted (Difficult) in the level description
It usually takes me from 8 to 74 tries to finally solve one of my levels!

So, my answer: Yes, I have tested this; No, I don't think so-probably the closest to a secret is the coily guarding the bonuses and the chomper in the corner; No, it is not impossible, unless the puzzle got scrambled durring uploading somehow(which I really do highly doubt); and, yes, it is, in opinion, a rediculously hard level.

Finally this "MPOA" level is out of the way, although I could only make it in untimed mode. It was such a headache!

Oh, that's fine! Again, I did not design these levels for timed mode; I am not even 100% sure all of them are possible with their given time.

However, if you really can do them like that, it is fine by me!

All so, thinking back at this, I wonder if I should have declared this a "Hardium" world. :P

MGOW took me many days. I finally made it, but only in untimed-mode.

Sorry, I can't place this level in the 'fair' category: it is really unfair to have such an undeterministic level that depends on the whims of rainbow-spirits, which can either go in the wrong spots or take forever going round-and-round allowing the clock to expire.

You'd actually be surprised, the solution I came up with made the rainbow spirits near useless except for two coins. :D

I do admit, though, that I have made some pretty unfair levels with rainbow spirits. The Dark Side of The Rainbow, the first level of a world unknown as The Dark Rainbow, to which I removed for several reasons, was like that.
Boxes every where, water every where, small rooms, floating coins...
and one spirit.

Sadly, the third level in the fourth world's all so like that... sorry about that. :)

Any how, however you did this, I am glad you've even done it! Thanks for playing. :D

Yes of course, but in order to take those two coins, they must first leave the room to let me in safely, then survive out in the cold world, then be brought in again and hopefully do their job there.

That means that you don't use the first box in the middle... I do use it first, but for that I need a bit of peace-of-mind when dealing with the UFO, and it takes longer than 5 seconds.

Yes, I can see how it's possible to play without that box - you just need to use the other one in several different ways. If you play for time, that would take even longer.
