Crossing the Drawbridge

Post by Bruum » Sat Jun 18, 2005 11:37 am

OK - so I am feeling really thick - the online solutions and forums usually help me but I am totally and completely stuck on this one. Can someone please help me with getting the 2 tiles filled??? Am across the drawbridge but even hubby can't help me figure out the clues.

PS: Have moved on and done other levels and joined the forum tonight as I just can't leave anything without a gold star (or even a green).

No dinner again!!!

Hi Bruum. Welcome to the forum. :D Sorry I can't remember that one. I'll go back and try it. Don't feel bad, everyone gets stuck sometimes on even the easiest parts. I've done it many times and had to yell for help.

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, Bruum. Motherly duties to perform.
I take it you mean the lower part of the puzzle after you bring one character across. If so you need to get the boulders on the buttons to open the gates. You use the boxes to fill the gap. Let me know if you need more help than this. :)

I don't get how to roll the boulders to get on the buttons! I have tried using the online solution but I am just more confused.

Here's how I did it:
Spoiler - highlight to read wrote:
PICTURE 1:

First use Stinky to move the boulders along the white lines. Place Stinky at the white X.

Switch to Loof. Place the metal box on the green X.

Switch to Peegue. Push the boulder along the red line. Push the other boulder along the yellow line. You will need Stinky's help to do that. Place Stinky at the white X. Place Peegue at his starting position.

Switch to Loof. Place the metal box on the red X. Push the boulder along the purple line. You will need Stinky's help to do that. Place Stinky at the white X. Place Loof at his starting position.

Use Peegue and Stinky together to move the metal box along the light blue line.

Walk Stinky across the collapsible bridge.

PICTURE 2:

Use Stinky to push the boulders along the yellow and red lines (one at the time).

Place Stinky on the purple button. Place Loof on the blue button.

Switch to Peegue. Move the plasma box to the green X. Push the wooden box along the green line to the blue button (remember to move Loof out of the way). Push the righthand metal box to the light blue X.

Collect keys and bonus coins and exit.
It's not the official way, but this worked for me ;)

Good luck :D

Or alternatively, you can go the planned way.
With 2 boulders, push one boulder to the right and another in the water (step on and off one bridge first)
Use teamwork (it's obvious how to use teamwork -- Mette already shown it) to get another two bouldas in the water and finally get metal box in the water too. With Stinky cross the drawbridge.

To get boulders on the buttons, follow the screenshot and it's obvious how: red arrow, then yellow arrow, then green arrow.
Now all the three boulders goes to buttons in a very obvious path.
To solve box puzzle, push th ice cube all the way down, and free one wood box and one metal box. Free the last metal box by pushing the ice cube sideways.

Obvious HOW?! I pushed the green one into the corner where it goes. But I don't get the other two! If I push the red one first and then the other, they end up next to each other and then they can't be moved! If I remove the coins, they roll off into the water. Maybe I am just stupid! But this is not making any sense to me at all Neither picture is making any sense. Either the official OR unofficial way. I think I will just skip this level

After you pushed green in corner and red and yellow ones as I said, push the red one right, up, and left on the pink button.
Push the yellow one down and repeat the same path to cover the blue button.
You will need to eat one bonus coin to push the red boulder. That's why you need to use it as a stopper FIRST, and THEN eat it.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
