You need to read a guide of some sort. Dialogs aren't complicated, but that question is too general. Answering it would take quite a while. Dlcs18, what is the URL of your (discontinued) dialog guide?
Md, I also have a dialog guide at jdl's forum. Here: http://jdl.createforum.net :)

md, here's my dialog guide: http://zengazon-games.tripod.com/dialogs/

It covers how to make a basic dialog, how to make text different colours, how to make text move, how to do multiple interchanges, and how to make NPC's give you items.
I have no current plans to continue it, but I'm just gonna edit it now to fix some grammar and maybe put a bit more information on the sections I have.
EDIT: I done it. :P

I'm guessing the whole thing has to be a askabout. I have never done a askabout before so I don't know what to tell you. :( But I know that there is no way of doing it with a regular dialog. Sorry if I'm not much help. :(
