To take a screenshot anytime on your computer, (you don't just have to be in the Editor to do it) press the button on your keyboard that says Prt Scr. It means "Print Screen". Next, go into Paint and paste the picture you took. From there on, you can edit it as much as you like.

It isn't saved to a folder. You open it in Paint, paste it, edit it if you want, go to File>Save As...>Choose the name and folder you want it in, and click Save.

Elaborating... Print Screen copies whatever is currently on your screen onto the clipboard, just like when you highlight text and press Ctrl+c. From there you can paste it into an image editing program.
