Stinker NPC Colour Adjustment, what does it do?

With the Stinker NPC, what does the colour adjustment do, it's default is set to 0, then if you click it, it changes to 1 and then you can only set it to 1 and 2 and you can't put it back to 0.

But what does it change?

It's for adjusting the subtype of glasses.
