Bring Back the Edit Button!
The lack of edit button in the off-topic causes more problems than it solves.
1. The edit button was removed to make people "think more before they post." The thing is, people still don't post differently than they did before the edit button was removed. Whenever someone realizes that there was a mistake in their post, they double-post to fix their mistake. If the edit button still existed, they could edit their post instead of double-posting and taking up more space.
2. If someone actually wants to edit their posts instead of double posting, they'll have to PM a mod. By the time the mod logs on and sees the PM, an active topic would have chugged on twenty miles ahead after the misinterpreted post. Also, I'm tempted to edit some of my topic titles, but I don't want to bother PMing a mod. In a case with other people's topics, an edited topic title had a typo so they had to go back and edit it again. In the end, it's just a waste of everyone's time to try and edit a post with the interface we have right now.
3. In most forums, the off-topic is the area with the most posts. Who would want to stick around for a good amount of time if our Off-Topic has a poor interface?!
Having an edit button would both solve all of these problems and make everyone's forum-lives easier. The new off-topic has turned a year old. Please, MS, activate the edit button again.

I've often placed OT posts, that I
wished that I could edit later.
