My computer used to work with CD's like a normal computer. But today I didn't know what got my computer to suddenly freeze when I put the CD in. When the CD comes out of the computer it resumes. What's going on?

Oh wait. It's working again

For some reason I was using driver scanner and installed updates for a few of my extremely old drivers. I put the same CD in was working perfectly.
I was thinking of asking someone to lock this but I thought I could continue posting more descriptions of randomness from my oddball computer sometime.

I find that most computer catastrophes are done by ourselves.

Exactly that happens to me right now XD.
I'm trying to watch a DVD, but my computer don't want that.
Also if I insert the disk and then restart the computer, it will not startup until I remove the disk XD
Maybe it has something to do with the summer heat or my DVD is veeery fragmented.
I should try to make an iso image of it and then burn it again.

Check your boot sequence in the BIOS, and make sure the HDD comes first before the DVD.jozsefkoma wrote:Exactly that happens to me right now XD.
