How do I add signature?

How do I add a signature to my posts? I went onto the FAQ, but that said to do it in my profile page, but if I go there, there is no place to put my signature.

Help please.

Just simply click profile at the top of the page, and it's very clear where you can edit the signature.
Did you go to your profile page, not the place where you edit your profile?

You need at least ten posts to have a signature, I think

Oh, okay. Usually you do need a certain amount of posts before you can add a signature.

Does anybody know exactly why?

I think it's just to prevent spambots from having links in their signatures.
