I have all of them save for three Co-op ones (two of which are for playing with more than one person, the other one is for not dying in the excursion funnel tests).

Nope. I don't have it.
Then again I've only played the flash version. :P

I don't have it. I don't even have the first. Which is, of course, because of the rating, although you've probably already guessed that. :P

It doesn't contain any violence... but if you meant the rating of the game you must have read it upside down.

There's some blood if you get shot by turrets and blood-writing on the walls in Portal 1. I don't know if turret fire makes blood if it hits you in Portal 2, I haven't really noticed anything related to blood in Portal 2 yet and I just reached Chapter 4. It's WAY better than Portal 1.

They removed that in Portal 2.

But Portal 1 is only a 3 hour experiment inherited from HL2 engine, and Portal 2 is a full 10 hour game with lots of expectations. Well done, Valve.

I think I actually like portal 1 better. Portal 2 has the whole team backing it, while the first only had a small group. Portal wasn't any better than Portal 2, but it was just as great with a quarter of the team working on it. The thing that I think brought Portal 2 down was the giant rooms where you searched for the one spot of wall you could portal on and then move on to the next giant room. The graphics are better and the puzzles are much harder, but people never expected Portal to blow up in their face.

I dunno, I found most of Portal 2's puzzles substantially easier. Even knowing the solutions in Portal 1, it took me longer to figure it out and some of them can still be challenging to pull off. Portal 2, on the other hand... I can't think of very many where doing the solution properly has a chance of getting you killed.

On the topic of violence, there's absolutely no blood in Portal 2.

I don't have Portal 2 as well, but thing is... puzzles are about solving them. Puzzles in Portal 1 were usually fairly easy with the exception of some flings and tricks in the post-chamber-19 part. Portal 2, OTOH, seems to have a ton of weird new stuff, so I expect the puzzle part (AKA figure it out) to be harder. In Portal 2, they seem to have upped the puzzle and lessened the action.

Even with all the new stuff, it took me less time to solve Portal 2's puzzles than most of the ones in the first game. I only ever got stuck for longer than ten minutes once, and that was near the end of the game, whereas in the first game it sometimes took up to half an hour to solve some of the tests for me the first time around.

That said, the test I got stuck in was only difficult because when I'm trying to solve a puzzle, I work on it in reverse as opposed to from the start (For instance, if there's a ledge with a cube I need to get up to, then instead of thinking "How do I get up there", I think "What do I need the cube for once I get there").

That's a good thing. It's frustrating when you know exactly what you're supposed to do, but get killed or completely mess up. For instance, some of those bouncing power ball things in Portal 1 were annoying as heck to get into their receivers before they blew up. I like the new laser that replaces it in Portal 2. All of the new puzzle elements are quite interesting. For me my favorites are probably the gel and the gravity vortex beam thing.

The reason post-chamber 19 of Portal 1 was so hard was because you had almost no idea where exactly you were supposed to go. I thought that the portal stunts you had to perform weren't really that hard to pull off, but that's just me.

Also, combusting lemons.

I was talking about it being rated Teen. I'm not even allowed to see some PG movies, so...

You should be allowed to watch PG. You're old enough. >.>

I'm allowed to watch most of them, but some I'm not.

Look, where I am, 12 year olds watch rated R. And I think X. But I forget if X is high. I think it is. Anyway, tell your parents that. Mabye it'll get you allowed to watch more.

Oh. And for the T thing, still where I come from, 12 year olds play M and they would probaly play AO if they could find some.

I'm 13 now, just for the record. *shot*

X is called AO in some countries, so technically they're the same thing. X is for ages 18+ and if 12-year-olds in your neighborhood want to watch that stuff, they must have really crappy parents.

Anyways, back on topic... I just beat single player. Maybe I'll start on Co-op with someone???

I'm not sure if I can play tonight, I've got about 3 hours and I'd rather do it tomorrow when I have the weekend... unless you think that's enough time? I have no idea because I obviously haven't tried co-op yet.

Two and a half hours now. I'll log on in a second, but first, I have two questions about how exactly co-op works. Are there two pairs of portals? Also, is there a way to communicate (like a chat or something)?
